yeonjun.

"well, if your idea of a beautiful sky is a jet black one, then i guess so." he sheepishly smiles, looking up.

"forget what i said, i was just being stupid." i looked at the ground.

it was a solid seven minutes before we got to the front of the line to finally enter this carnival.

i reached for my pocket to pay, but was stopped immediately.

"let me pay you back. i think i've caused you enough trouble as it is, don't you think?"

i tried to protest but to no avail. "urrgh, fine." he paid for both tickets.

we got in and looked around for a map, trying to pinpoint where we are and plan out what we are going to do while on this date.

date.

i wanted to squeal like a little japanese highschool girl at the thought of that.

"what do you want to do first?" he inquires, brow arched, mouth pouted and dimples showing.

literally anything he'd do i would find cute.

as if on cue, my stomach started grumbling. really loudly.

just my luck.

"i hadn't actually had dinner yet, since-you know,"

"oh, sorry again."

he raises a finger and his face lights up as if he got a brilliant idea or something,

"stay right here." and he runs off to wherever the heck. i clutch my stomach as the pain from hunger grows immensely.

i only noticed that i was hungry now? stupid.

i took time to glance over my surroundings and take everything in. there were so many rides and attractions.

a ferris wheel, rollercoaster, carousel and various stands scattered all over the place. the vicinity was filled with lights, contrasting with the very dark sky up above. there were a lot of people running around, laughing, screaming and whatnot, just having fun in general.

the atmosphere here is very bright, and something i am not very accustomed to. not that i'm complaining, though.

my date comes back with two corndogs and nachos in his hand. he gives me a corndog and the whole nacho plate.

"i'm sorry if you wanted a cuisine but these were all what i was able to find in a pinch. besides, eating too much would probably be a bad idea before riding the rides, yeah?" he says and takes a bite off his corndog.

"n-no, this is fine."
