bits and pieces of green glass on the floor met my eyes as i enter through the door.
a harsh cracking sound could be heard throughout the whole house.
more like hell.
one by one, i take my small little feet up the stairs, scared of being noticed by the monster.
big, scary monster.
as i was about to be at the top, my safe space, i misstepped.
thud.
as if on cue, large footsteps erupted from downstairs.
the monster.
"soobin, is that you little shit?!"
i ran as fast as my little legs could towards my room, where i could be safe. even just for a while.
i tripped.
i am pathetic.
why did i think i could be safe?
