quickly, he stirred us away from the carousel. we stop to catch our breaths.

 
"what did you just do?" i ask while laughing still.

 
"i don't wanna talk about it."

 
we wander off aimlessly for a bit, going from booth to booth. it was only the first ride and things weren't going as smooth as i wanted them to be.

 
the situation was comical though.

 
we stumbled upon an interesting booth. 'magical mirtha' it said in bold, yellow letters. the booth was littered with purple and blue cloth, with a purple crystal ball sitting atop a table in the middle.

 
there was an old woman there, who was mirtha i assume.

 
"wanna go there?" he asked.

 
"sure, sounds fun."

 
we went in, being greeted by the old lady. she wore a purple and blue outfit, with a couple of gold bracelets and rings.

 
"oh my, my, my. what do we have here? a couple of gentlemen looking forward to get read, i presume?" she raises a brow whilst stroking her crystal ball.

 
"umm, sure lady."

 
soobin comes forward first and she reaches out for his right hand, feeling it. i'd be lying if i said i wasn't jealous of the old lady.

 
she examines his hands further. "i can sense, something. like a love blooming. blossoming," she stares into his eyes. "who is the lucky lady, hmm?"

 
soobin retracted his hands, clearly flustered. i was too.

 
"but be careful, i can also sense that you will encounter a lot of hardships. especially regarding past experiences and such, but i have faith you'll get pass."

 
okay, lady.

 
soobin excuses himself.

 
mirtha turns to me and reaches for my hand. she starts 'reading' them.

 
"now you, my dear. i think you're going through something right now,"

 
mhmm.

 
"but always remember that the past doesn't define us, and the people in the present are what matters most,"

 
"t-thank you." i detach my hand from hers.

 
"especially him." she gestures to soobin who was waiting outside.

 
my eyes widen. "w-wait, ho-how. it's-we're not-"

 
"i'm psychic, kid." she shrugs, a sumg expression across her face.
