yeonjun.

we settled down at a picnic table in the food court. the carnival has surprisingly a lot of establishments, making me think that this was an actual theme park or something.

okay, game plan.

i need to think of what attractions we should go to, and what the flow of the date would be. by the end, we should get the best possible outcome, a kiss.

a kiss?

okay wait, yeonjun. that might be a little too fast, maybe something like a hug?

yeah, like a hug or something.

ride one should be,

the carousel. nothing too fancy and easy on the stomach, a bit childish though. next would be bumper cars?

bumper cars are romantic, right?

and then maybe the heartstopper rollercoaster to top it off, and whatever comes next.

"uhh, dude? i know the corndogs are really good but i can't help to notice you've been gnawing at that thing for minutes now." he says, an amused look at his face.

"oh sorry, i'll eat faster." he was already done with his corndog.

stupid yeonjun and his stupid spacing out.

"you can call me jun."

"hmm?"

"you can call me jun, or whatever you want."

i finished my carnival cuisine and stood up.

"so jun, where do you wanna go first?"

remember the game plan. "umm, would the carousel be okay?"

"aren't we too old for that?" he chuckles.

my face turns beet red. "w-well i thought-because you asked me. nevermind." i said, clearly flustered.

"n-no! i was just kidding! we could go, let's go right now."

we head on for the line to the ride. unsurprisingly, the ride was filled with kids and their parents watching by.

"aren't you two a little old for this?" the gatekeeper lady asks. we both only laugh in return as we got on to the ride.

i was a bit disappointed that i was seated two or three horses behind him, but whatever, i got to stare at his back.

he was seated on one of the smaller horses, or actually more like a pony.

the ride starts, the usual nursery rhyme in the background.

it's so funny how his legs still meet with the ground even if the horse is raised up in the air.

i notice that his horse starts to act up, and stiffens before the ride even stops. his eyes widened in panic and turned to me.

i laugh really hard at this, almost falling off my own horse.

this goes on for a bit and i sense that he might've just broken a part of the ride.

the carousel finally comes to a stop and he immediately gets off the damned horse.

"junnie, i think we should go." he whispers to me and grabs my hand as i continue to laugh hysterically.

the gatekeeper gave us a skeptical look.
