i look on my phone, it read eight twenty one am. i must've not realized that i fell asleep. there's still time to go to work.

as i frantically shot up from the couch and start looking around the rooftop for any sign of an almond milk obsessed boy, i saw an empty bottle on the floor, with a note under it.
