Sorry I'm late. I forgot Wattpad and I existed.

We're going to die. I'm sure of it.

I have no will whatsoever. I didn't even get to say goodbye to anyone. Kira doesn't even know what's going on. She's peacefully asleep in unbearable heat.

Must be nice...

Liam elbowed my side. I tried not to show that he did, but it actually kinda hurt.

..an....y..u...sh..t...u.......o..r...vo..c...is...h..rt..n....y...ead....

I could kinda make out what he was saying, but I guess he isn't back to normal yet. I can't imagine what he and Jason went through and I don't want to.

We're being "escorted" to Alex's office with him in front of us and three agents behind. I honestly could just burn them all and we all make a run for it, but something tells me that this isn't the right time...

I remember being here. Not the kind of memories I want to have at the moment considering the circumstances. What are we even doing? Did I ask that question already? I don't even know. I'm all over the place at the moment.

"You know, you guys are my favorite," Alex said as he held the door open for us. I went in first. "I think you just love throwing that word around," I said to myself and the door slammed shut. "Are you sure?" And I heard the tone immediately.

I'm really starting to hate the way that question is being asked to me.

"I mean, honestly, the body's mostly water. And what did I do? Added more water. Then, added some more water and stuck it in a freezer," he said as he sat down, crossing his legs and folding his arms on his desk. A genuine half-smile formed on his face. "You guys look stiff. Sit down. Breathe. Relax. In any order in which you may choose."

My confused face softens and I slowly sit down. I put my guard back up as Liam sits a seat away. Jason just leans on the one next to me. "Also, mind control and teleportation? Do you know how impressive that is? Like, honestly, I don't know how you two do it. And I made you do it!"

His excitement is starting to sound childish. A disturbing childish...
What's his game?

"So? Telekinesis is pretty cool too," Liam said, sounding nonchalant. But he's not being nonchalant about it. You don't have to read minds to know that.

Alex shrugged in return. "But that's nothing compared to you guys. Even I could have the ability to move objects with my mind," he said, making a hand gesture.

My heart skipped a beat in a split second. Last time someone did that, my girlfriend flew across a field.
(Yes, I said girlfriend. Whatcha gonna do about it?)
I nearly jump out of my chair. "Alex, I swear-"
"Don't worry, I didn't give myself powers. You would think that would be the first thing someone would do if they did what I did."

Clearly seeing that I'm not convinced, Alex moves his pen cup from the corner of his desk to in front of him. He got down to its eye level and stared at it. To me, this doesn't prove anything. He could be faking for all I know.

"Max, drop it. He doesn't have telekinesis," Liam said, and I took his word for it, him being the mind reader and all. But Alex kept trying, now on the verge of shaking from concentration. "Now you just look constipated," Jason said, clearly over it already. "That has to be the biggest cliche I've heard by far," Liam told him.

"Anyway, point proven. You happy," Alex asked as he reorganized his desk. No. I'm not happy. I need to know what the hell's going on.

"You three are here because you're not as easy to bring back. Do you know how complicated fire is," he asked me. I didn't answer. "Long story short, I'm offering you immunity."

"What's the catch," Jason asked him, standing up straight. "You don't say anything. Keep your bracelets. You'll come in once in a while, almost like your annual doctor's appointment."

"And what happens to everyone else," I ask. He sighs in response. "Your girlfriends will still be here, training as I said. There's no point in shipping them off if you guys get to stay here," he said.

Of course, this caught us off guard. He just said it so casually. I shake it off.

"So you have a choice to make. And I would like to know now," he said with the smile.

Next thing I know, we're in a room. Not tied up. Not restricted in any sort of way.

It's more like a bedroom.

It's a decent sized room for the three of us. We all have a bed. Our own closets and showers. It is like a completely different building that they just built on from the original. It's weird because it just feels different. But I know why. I also know why we're here too.

We chose immunity. I had Liam explain it to me on our way down here. Basically, we're protected from any trouble that is ahead of us. I assumed that that's what it meant, but I'm sure that we're far from that.

There's no way that we're going to leave everyone else behind. I can feel how close we are to stopping all of this. It was a mistake that Alex let us out. I've been thinking of what to do ever since, but I keep drawing blanks. I sit down on a bed, realizing that I've been standing ever since we got here.

I'm tired. I've been tired ever since we started running. I'm honestly tired of everything now and I just want to relax and have nothing to worry about.

"And that's the last one?" I turn to see Liam and Jason by a dresser. "It should be. You would know," Jason said. I sigh and get up. "What's going on," I ask as I walk over to them. "According to Alex, there were five cameras with microphones hidden throughout the room. And now that we got them all, we can talk," Jason said as he held up what used to be the cameras. They're destroyed now.

"And you knew this how? He never told us that," I said, not thinking about what I just said. "Nevermind," I corrected myself, "what are we talking about?"

"A rescue and escape mission," he said. Then a smirk formed on his face.

"And maybe a little something else."
