Jiyeon's POV

2 and half years later

'Mom and Dad, I finally graduated. I got my Master already. I'm sorry you cannot see me wearing the graduation gown. I will visit you frequently now. I'm coming back to Korea, for you guys. I missed you guys a lot. Please wish me luck for the rest of my life. Thank you for all the love and care you gave me during your days with me. I love you, Mom and Dad.'

'Changkyun-ah, I made it. I got the certificate. I don't know to whom I wanna brag about this. You were the only one I could ever think of. If you were here with me, I can celebrate this occasion with you. How have you been? These past years, I was alone. I had no one with me, Changkyun. I still keep updated with your life. I feel like a secret admirer who just can observe you from afar. All I wanted was just a single expalanation, Changkyun. A fucking explanation to why had you left me hanging like this. You promised me. The others are happy, why can't we? Do you really loved me before? Or was it all act? I wanna know so bad, but I can't meet you anymore. You moved on, and I can't go to you. You wished for a big and succesful celebrity life, and I am the opposite. To see that you're happy is enough. But, I just.. miss you a lot.'

You walked into the airport with ease. You finished your studies, you can easily get your dream job. You can start planning out your life. You are 24 now. You are finally an adult. You are an independent woman, now.

As you walked through a bunch of people, a bakery caught your eyes. Macarons are your favourite. You went to the bakery and waited for your turn.

As you continue to wait, the door bell rings signing that another customer just came in.

You heard the phone behind you ring. The ringtone is If You by Monsta X. You smiled knowing they have gone big and behind you probably is their fan. But,

you heard the voice. The voice that you missed for years. The one you waited for almost 5 years.

"Oh hyung, I'm at the bakery. I just stopped by to buy macarons. Do you want anything?" The rest he just hummed and finally he ended the call.

You were trembling. You can't accept what is happening. Although you've been longing for him, you just couldn't face him. He is handsome now. The last time you saw him was two years ago. You never expected him to be here, right behind you.

True, macarons was yours and his favourite. You guys would make it together sometimes, but most of the time the shape and visual is not like macarons. You smiled remembering those moments.

"Waaaah! We finally succeed! Look at mine!"

"Ji, you're so talented. Don't you want to sell these? They're cute!"

"Maybe, for fun. But I'll think first."

"Okay. Let's eat. But first! Let's take a picture. I want to brag about our macarons to the members and the girls."

"Alright. I'm pretty sure Jooheon would make fun of yours later, though." Then, he pouted defending that he's a man and is not skilled in cooking and baking. I chuckled at his behaviour.

You couldn't accept this. As he was about to pick a straw for his coffee, his hand couldn't reach them. He tapped your shoulder and you flinched.

"Oh my god, did I startled you? Sorry, but can you pass me a straw?"

"O-oh yeah sur-e"

"Thanks"

You just cannot, you just had to go. As you were about to turn around, you saw him playing with his phone. The ring.. The ring you gave him for the 3rd year anniversary. The ring perfectly wrapped around his slender long fourth fingers.

Is it the one you gave or was it someone else's?

You grew impatient as you walked through the bakery's door. You felt like dying, you breath are uneven. Your legs are about to pass out.

'Changkyun, I met you again. What a fate. I missed you a lot, Kyun. There's so much things I wanna tell you. There's so many things I wanna do with you. Although we only meet for such a short time, but you talked to me. You bought our favourites too. Kyun-ah did you recognize me? I knew it, I knew goodbye could be this painful. I couldn't stand this, Kyun. I miss you a lot but, you have someone else.' You thought as you grabbed the necklace he gave and the bracelet that wrapped your wrist and put it in your bag. You wanted to give them to someone else. You don't want the memories creep on your mind again. It hurts, a lot.'
