Dreams and Lies (For my brother)

I dream,

you know cannot lie to you!

What does this mean?

What, anymore is, Real and True?

Who could possibly deny my love?

Who could sacrifice my flying

admirations like the purest dove?

Push you, repulsed, down the gap

between day and night,

to destroy your passions that burn

with astonishing light.

Take bow and arrow,

pierce heart of tender doe.

The hunter's eyes know only narrow,

piercing features of harsh foe.

The kill silent.

Lonely moment -- stilled.

Suddenly turned violent.

For an innocent was killed.

For what tis be the hunter's gain?

A simple time of fun and games.

The doe lay still -- slain.

Painting sorrow as trees portray frames.

Story given plain as day,

an open-glass window-display.

Was harsh the tone?

Or love's final, tearfull moan?

Heart-wrenching pain.

Love's blind vow.

Foreshadows rain,

Loathing presents a stiff bow.

Arms resemble protection.

Her castle begins to crumble,

How will she take action?

Action never humble.

Answer empty -- shall I

never recongize?

For you are dead,

And I am forced alive!

O, agony! To continue this

weary, unattainable tread.

Please -- I beg what is left of your soul,

Never flee the compassion

and warmth,

of the one who still loves you whole.

I will be here and ready to

be called forth.
