It's been a few days since the trip to the lake. We are now on day 6 in India - I can't believe we have been here for nearly a week, it's gone so quick. I am beginning to feel a bit homesick. For the past two days I have been quite emotional.

We were getting ready to go to bed. Me and Freddie had our pyjamas on and we were just sat on the bed, looking out of the window. My emotions completely overwhelmed me, nothing even triggered it. I simply just missed my parents, my home, my friends.

"John! What's the matter!?" Freddie began to wipe my tears

"Homesick" I muttered through the sobs

"Oh darling it's ok. You only have 3 days left, then you can go back to your family" Freddie said with a bit of a frown

"Then I'll miss you" I said truthfully

"I'll be in England as soon as you know it" Freddie smiled before wiping the final flood of tears from my face

"God I'm so sappy" I hid my face

"Why don't we go outside, I want to show you something" Freddie pulled me up

"Fred, it's 10pm!" I groaned

"Yeah, things are more romantic at night" Freddie said

I rolled my eyes, he still hasn't given up on the flirting.

I shivered under the breeze of the night. I even saw goosebumps on Freddie's back and he lead me outside. I had no idea where he was taking me.

"This is the oldest part of the school. I think it's pretty" Freddie showed me into a secluded courtyard with old statues and a fountain in the middle

Freddie sat on the edge of the fountain and I sat next to him. I could see his smile in the moonlight. The stars in the sky matched the twinkle in his eye.

"John, I wanted to say that you're very special to me. I know you don't believe how important and amazing you are but you are number one to me. Whatever the outcome of this question my feelings for you won't change. You can say yes or no, I don't mind. I know that soon we won't be together physically, however I will do anything to still be in your life when we are parted. But, John, would you like to go out with me?" Freddie poured his heart out

In that moment I decided, a short amount of time of love was better than a lifetime alone.

"I will" I said quietly

"You will?" Freddie questioned

"Yes Freddie" I wrapped my arms around him

This moment was magical.

Freddie hugged me back. Our close contact and love sparked a warm fire inside. We decided to go back to the dorm room to get out of the breezy night.

We walked back in and Freddie shut the door behind us.

"I promise I'll keep contact with you John" He said

"Yeah, I promise too" I smiled over to him

"Great" Freddie sat next to me and smiled back

"I've never had a proper boyfriend before" I looked down shyly

"I've never had a boyfriend like you before" Freddie lifted my chin up in his hand

"What's that supposed to mean?" I was confused

"You care for me, and I would do anything for you" Freddie explained

"I'd do the same for you" I leaned into his touch

There was a silence. It wasn't awkward like every other silence I've had before. It was comfortable. Freddie went and turned the light off, signalling for bedtime. The only light source was the small lamp he had on his bedside table which only illuminated the top of the bed where the pillows stay.

"Do you feel better now? Not homesick?" Freddie quizzed

"I still feel a bit..emotional" I said

"Oh come here you" Freddie pulled me down on to the bed and we both laid there hugging

"You're too nice to me" I mumbled into his chest

"You deserve to be loved and well...I love you" Freddie was stroking my back lightly with the tips of his fingers. He stopped and looked down at me, searching for a reaction

"I love you too Freddie" I squeaked, in shock more than anything else

Freddie snuggled closer to me and placed a kiss on my shoulder blade. I blushed hard, I was so glad the darkness cover my pink cheeks.

Freddie began to sing to me, his voice was smooth like velvet, "I can dim the lights and sing you songs full of sad things, we can do the tango just for two, I can serenade and gently play on your heart strings, be your Valentino just for you"

"That's beautiful" I whispered

"Thank you" I could feel him smile as his head was resting in the crook of my neck as he hugged me from behind

"Goodnight Freddie" I yawned

"Sweet dreams darling"
