Ready Freddie

I was woken up by Freddie planting kisses on my shoulder and upper arm. I was wearing a white vest as my pyjama top so I was exposed. I usually don't wear a pyjama top, especially in the summer, but Freddie can't know about my cuts, about my attack. I have to protect him too.

"Good morning beautiful" Freddie said when I finally opened my eyes to look at him

"Morning love" I grunted

"What's wrong? You're usually so perky in the morning and I'm the grouch" Freddie joked

"I'm just tired" I said. It wasn't a lie but it wasn't the full truth. The medication I'm on at the moment makes me extremely sleepy and my dosage from last night must still be effecting me.

"What's the plan for this week?" Freddie quizzed

"In three days it's my birthday. My friends are coming over, you'll meet them today. Apart from that it's just school really. My family are quite spontaneous so we will probably do other stuff there and then if that makes sense" I rambled

"Crystal clear" Freddie smiled

"Great" I rolled over to face him. We were now nose to nose. If I was with anyone else this would be awkward and uncomfortable, but with Freddie it's a different story.

"God I missed you" Freddie said, still gazing deep into my eyes

"Not as much as I missed you" I winked

"I can't leave you again" Freddie murmured

"We've got a week, don't think about that stuff yet. Just enjoy yourself" I kissed him softly

"Alright" Freddie said

"We better get up, we have school and I want you to meet Brian and Roger." I said excitedly

"Ok then" Freddie grinned

We both got up, had breakfast, and got changed. Mum cooked up some cheese on toast and informed Freddie that it is a delicacy in this household.

Me and Freddie walked to school, on the way there we crossed paths with Brian and Roger.

"Morning John!" Roger greeted

"Good morning" I smiled to the pair, "this is Freddie. Freddie this is Roger and Brian"

"Great to meet you" Freddie smiled shyly I had never seen him so shy

"Ah, the famous Freddie. We've heard a lot about you" Brian said

"John tells us you like music" Roger stated

"Uh yes. I sing a bit and can kind of play piano" Freddie said modestly

"In other words he is an incredible singer and his piano skills are top notch" I corrected

All of us laughed as we carried on our journey to school.

"What is it like to live in India?" Brian asked

"It's nice. Great weather! Everyone at my school is friendly" Freddie said enthusiastically

"The same can't be said for the people at our school" Roger said. I judged him and shook my head. I don't want Freddie to find out about the attack.

Freddie and Brian walked in ahead, talking about their interests. It was good to see them get on.

"You haven't told him, have you?" Roger whispered in my ear

"No and I intend to keep it that way" I said sternly

"You aren't going to get away with it John" Roger spoke quietly

"He's not going to find out!" I whisper-yelled

"Fine. I think it would be good for you to actually talk about it rather than bottle it up" Roger rolled his eyes

The thing is, with me and Roger, we know what is best for each other. When we get along, we are inseparable. But our arguments can be huge, although we never hold a grudge. The only reason we argue in the first is because we only want the best for each other.

"Leave it Taylor" I grumbled

"Fine, I'm sorry" Roger put his hands up in surrender

"No, I'm sorry" I sighed

Roger put his arm around me and I hung my head. I feel so useless.

"Hey John! Brian says we are nearly there" Freddie turned around

"That's right" I smiled

I found it cute how excited Freddie was. My school is nothing special, it doesn't have big bushy trees and fountains like Freddie's school does. It has a few big buildings and a courtyard, a field that wasn't too grand. However, me and the boys have our own area where we meet. Nobody really knows about it and if they do they know it's our little area. It's just a grassy area between a wall and a fence, it has a bench and when in bloom a tree hangs over from the other side of the fence.

"See you later guys" I said to Brian and Roger as they walked into school. Me and Freddie stood back for a second to calm his nerves

"Just one more minute" Freddie said as he breathed deeply

"I've never seen you so shy" I stated

"I don't like meeting new people. To be honest, when I first met you I put on an act. That's what I do, I'm fake." Freddie got angry with himself

"Hey stop that. You are not fake. You are the most genuine person I know, believe me. I love you" I held on to Freddie's shoulders as I spoke

"I love you too. Come on, let's get inside" Freddie was prepared to go into the school

"Ready Freddie?" I questioned to make sure

"Let's do this" he grabbed my hand and dragged me inside
