Me and Freddie are on our way to lunch. We have had a busy morning of lessons. We had English, Maths, Sports, then Science. After lunch we have Geography which is great because Mr Vale teaches me. Freddie seems to like him too.

We went off to our lunch area. Roger and Brian were already sat on the small bench so me and Freddie sat on the grass in front. Mum made me and Freddie a packed lunch. We had sandwiches, biscuits, the works!

"I can't wait for the weekend" Roger yawned

"Deaky has a party Rog, you're not getting any sleep" Brian laughed

"I swear to god if you draw stuff in my face again I will murder you all. Apart from Freddie, he doesn't seem like one to do that" Roger said

"Darling I'm the one who gets up at stupid o'clock to do that stuff, no rest for the wicked" Freddie laughed

"Sleep is for the weak" I added

"Well I prefer sleeping for a week" Roger said loudly to make sure everyone heard his joke. When we did we all erupted into a fit of giggles.

When we all calmed down I spoke up, "What shall we do on the sleepover? Any ideas?"

"Draw on Roger's face" Brian mumbled with a snigger

"Takeaway!!" Roger threw his arms in the air

"Music blasting" Brian added

"Actual sleep" Roger rolled his eyes playfully

"What do you think Freddie?" I asked as Freddie seemed a bit quiet

"Uh, I've never had a sleepover before" Freddie scratched the back of his head

"We better make your first one the best one then! What would you like to do?" I questioned

"Karaoke?" Freddie said

"Great idea!" Roger practically squealed

"This party is going to be great" Brian states

The bell went to signal us to go to our last lesson of the day - Geography with Mr Vale. Me and Freddie walked up the stairs to the third floor. We were seated at the back of the class.

"Good afternoon class" Mr Vale walked in with his books in hand

"Afternoon" the whole class muttered

"Today's lesson is going to be more of a discussion. As you know we spent a week in India and the exchange students have been hear for a couple of days. So today's discussion is about the differences between here and the town we live in or went to in India" Mr Vale used his hand movements to express the words he was saying

"For a start I like it more in India" I mumbled

"No, your life is here John. You know that" Freddie said sternly

"But you are in India and I want to be with you" I muttered so only we could hear

Freddie kept to the same volume as me, "sometimes it doesn't work though John"

"Are you breaking up with me?" I was almost in tears

"No no no John!" Freddie whisper-yelled as he grabbed my hand from under the table, "I was just saying that we both have very different lives meaning we can't be physically side by side the whole time. As much as I would love that it's not going to happen." Freddie rubbed circles on the back of my hand with his thumb but it didn't do much to calm me down

I had to get out of here to clear my head. In a slight panic I got up from my chair and left the classroom, tears streaming, heart beat racing.

"John?" I heard Mr Vale call for me but my body wouldn't stop, I just ran into a bathroom and locked myself in a cubicle

[back in the classroom]

Mr Vale walked calmly up to Freddie after setting the rest of the class some work. He knows how vulnerable John is, he knows everything the young boy has been through too.

"Hi Freddie, any idea what that was all about?" Mr Vale asked

"I've got an idea, he just got upset. Can I go and find him? Please" Freddie begged

"He went into the bathroom. Just be...careful with him, ok?" Mr Vale said

"Uh- Yes. Thank you" Freddie got up and left the classroom. He walked down the corridor to the boy's bathroom.

When he walked in he saw one cubicle locked and heard sobs coming from the other side.

"John? John darling is that you?" Freddie knocked gently on the door

"Go away" I sobbed

"Come on. We both know you don't really mean that" Freddie sighed

"I can't Freddie" I cried

"Can't what my dear?" Freddie said, obviously confused

"I can't live my life without you" I wept

"We will find a way John, I promise" Freddie said, "now, I need you to open the door"

Just after Freddie said that the bathroom door opened. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle the crying.

"Alright Fred" The voice said

"I'm ok Roger. What are you doing in here?" Freddie questioned

"I've come to dye my hair green! No, I need the toilet and I got bored of history class" Roger said sarcastically

"Oh, ok" Freddie mumbled

"I should ask what you are doing in here?" Roger quizzed

"John's got himself in a state" Freddie whispered

"In there?" Roger pointed to the locked door behind Freddie

Freddie nodded.

"John it's Rog, open up" Roger called

"Go away!" My voice broke

"Open it or I will. You know I will" Roger said

The lock clicked.

Freddie pushed it open with his shoulder and stormed in. I was sat there with my head in my hands and crying. Freddie crouched down and hugged me. Roger leaned against the doorframe.

"I love you" Freddie squeezed me

"I l-love you too" I stammered
