If you haven't read chapter thirty-three I suggest reading it for more context.

Drift looked at the artifacts in his hands with confusion. Did Lindsay actually have powerful artifacts all this time without saying anything, even knowing about Oblivion? What else could she be hiding?

Drift knew he didn't have time to be questioning her since he had to find you. He was desperate. If they could really lead him to you he'd be willing to take the risk.

He knew deep down that something was up, but he chose to ignore it because this might be his only chance. Drift packed the artifacts in his bag and started to walk home.

He felt vibrations in his bag, but he ignored it, thinking that perhaps he was just imagining things.

Once it was night, Drift would put on the artifacts and sneak out of the house in hopefully the last time he has to look for you.

Drift imagined finding you and holding you in his arms. He remembered how your warm smile flowed and your sweet laughter, making him more determined to find you.

He got home and set down his bag, not noticing the evil, light red colored aura surrounding it.

After being thrown to the ground for what felt like the thousandth time, you just laid still. There was no point fighting as you were bound tightly.

"Have you given up so soon?" Oblivion cackled. "Pathetic."

She reached towards you and yanked the gag from your mouth. You still had the blindfold on so you couldn't see what damage had been done to your body.

"Speak, you piece of filth," she said.

"What is there to say, I don't want to waste my air on you," you snapped.

Your sass resulted in a kick to the stomach. You hated how you were powerless against Oblivion.

"Now, now, don't make me put this gag back on you," Oblivion cooed. "It's covered in blood and dirt. I don't think you want it in your mouth."

You remained silent, because she was right. Even though you wanted to say many strong words against her, you didn't want that disgusting rag in your mouth. The thought of it going back in made you want to throw up.

"Even though I won't be the one to end your life, I want you to suffer worse than you made Omega suffer," Oblivion said.

"He was going to ruin lives of hundreds," you coughed.

"I don't care, that was his one purpose of life and you took that away from him," Oblivion growled. "He was so close and then you and your lover boy ruined everything."

"You're next," you spat.

Oblivion growled and stepped on your chest, making you unable to breathe.

"Just because I said I wasn't going to kill you doesn't mean I won't make you suffer," Oblivion huffed.

"If you're not going to kill me, who is?" you asked.

"Oh, that's an easy question to answer. Drift," Oblivion answered.

"He wouldn't kill me," you said, laughing in disbelief, wheezing because of the pressure Oblivion applied to your chest.

"That's where you're wrong," Oblivion said.

She stepped off of your chest, and you took in a deep breath, gulping in the air.

"What do you mean," you questioned, fear rising in your mind slowly.

"I had someone on the inside deliver something to him," Oblivion revealed.

"What could you give him that could possibly make him want to kill me?"

"Cursed objects from the Fortnite world. They contain the power of electricity. Once he puts the cursed clothes on, his mind will be wiped of any good he had left in him," Oblivion said. "And I may have... tampered with the cursed magic. It will make him want to kill one person. And that person is (y/n) (l/n), and look, that's you!"

"I don't understand, who could give him such objects without him being suspicious?" you asked, clinging onto disbelief.

"I believe you once called her a friend," Oblivion answered. "Her name is Lindsay. Does that name ring a bell~?"

The sky was pitch black, without the light of the stars or moon. Dark cloud blocked off the light. Drift knew this would make his escape easier.

After all, if nobody could see him, there'd be no suspicion. Wearing clothes like the ones Lindsay have him made him look very suspicious.

Drift grabbed his backpack and pulled out the clothes. On further inspection, the mask was a kitsune mask and the cloak had ancient patterns and pink energy coursed through it.

Drift had a bad feeling in his heart, but he had to put it on. Drift unfolded the cloak and put it on. Immediately, he felt power. The cloak started crackling with pink lightning and his hands started to glow.

"Well this is strange," Drift said, staring down at her hands in awe.

He decided he needed to become more focused. He put on the mask.

Suddenly, he fell to his knees. Drift's head felt like it was going to split. His head burned as if lava was poured onto his head. He slammed his head into the wall behind him, hoping it would solve his problem.

He started to forget every good moment he had with you. Emotions of love and happiness were replaced with resentment and anger. Drift lost the will to be a good person and hero. All of his hero training with John Wick was forgotten and replaced with ideas of how to bring harm with others.

Drift's head started to cool down, and he was left with one goal.

Kill (y/n).
