" JAZZ!" I screamed. She stood there smiling a small smile.

" Brooklyn.... Karma's a bitch aye" She sneered. She ran her hand over the knife. Jay stepped out in front of me and positioned himself as a shield.  

" Jazz, back away" Jay said anger thick in his voice.

" No way lover boy, remember I'm the one holding the knife here" She grinned. Jay's fists clenched. His whole body tensed. Rikki was sat down shaking against the window. Charlie was standing next to Jay, he was tensed too.

" Why would you do this?" I said shakily.

" I think you know Brooklyn, you made Austin chose you over me" She said.

" That's really all it's about?" I asked, " But he did chose you over me" I pointed out.

" Ugh no he didn't" She replied frustrated.

" Jazz your pregnant with his baby" I scoffed.

" You still believe that?" She laughed.

" WHAT?" I yelled.

" I'm not pregnant Brooklyn" She laughed.

" HOW DARE YOU?!" I shouted. I struggled against Jay. Jazz held up her knife.

" I'm not gonna forgive you..... I'm gonna kill you" She sneered.

" Rikki, call 911... Jazz last chance" Jay growled. Jazz stepped forward.    

Out of the corner of my eyes I noticed Jay nudge Charlie. Charlie looked at him and then down. I followed his gaze. Jay slipped the knife he had taken from the hotel out of his pocket, and into Charlie' hand. Jazz hadn't noticed.

" RUN!" Jay yelled and Charlie bolted down a back ally. Jazz turned and watched him flee but quickly turned back to us again.

" Ok, who do I kill first" She asked softly. Charlie reappeared from the ally.

He slowly advanced towards us, creeping up behind Jazz.

He was standing right behind her and she hadn't noticed.

He raised the knife.

It happened in a flash.

Charlie plunged the knife into Jazz's back. She screamed. She whipped around and slashed her knife right across his throat.

" CHARLIE!!!!!" I screamed in  anguish.   I felt anger and sadness boil inside  me all at once. Jazz removed the knife from her back.

" You think you can kill me that fast?" She chuckled. I felt so angry, I didn't know what I was doing.

I ducked out of Jay's arms and ran at Jazz. She raised the knife but I grabbed it and plunged it into her chest. She gasped and fell to the ground. I knelt down beside Charlie.

I could feel the tears cascading down my cheeks. Jay came up behind me. Charlie was lying on the ground, gasping for air.

" Charlie, you have to hold on the ambulance is coming" I said urgently.

" Hey guys. I bet I look so hot right now" He commented. I managed a tiny laugh.

" Of course you do, like always" Said Rikki, sitting beside him.

" aw thanks" Said Charlie, smiling. He was starting to gasp unsteadily.

His eyes were closing.

" Brooke, Jay, don't ever break up ok? " He laughed. " Cos if you do imma come back as a seriously  handsome ghost and haunt you two " He grinned.

" And Rikki, I've had a crush on you since 5th grade" He admitted. Rikki leaned down and kissed him softly. Cradling him in her arms.

He smiled.

He closed his eyes.

I screamed as the sobs took over and Jay put his arms around,e...  His tears fell to the ground.

A few minutes later an ambulance arrived.

" What the hell happened here?" A tall man asked.  Jay walked over and I saw him pointing.

They called a number and came over to me.

" Miss you will have to come with us. Your friends are coming too, we just believe you are in shock" The man said.

" But what about-" I started.

" The police are on their way" He said. Jay put his arm around me.

" They say I'm in shock too, so don't worry I'm coming too" Jay said gently. I climbed into the ambulance and we pulled away just as the police pulled in.

I felt myself passing out and I let the darkness take me.
