Jealous Glances.

I tucked the final thumb tack into the woven fabric of Mr Linkin's desk chair. Jay put his last one in and made sure they were all hidden out of sight. He looked at me and caught my eye. He grinned and gave me a five five. He took out his phone and hid it up on the shelf across the room so that it would catch his reaction,

" This is going to be the best ever!" He said jumping up and down. I laughed. He looked like a little kid who had just been given candy.

" Quick act normal. the others are coming" I said to Jay and we ran to our desks and sat down. I glanced at Jay, he was sitting, looking up and whistling. Way to overdo it..

A few seconds later the rest of the class entered the room. Austin gave me a tight hug, before sitting down in the row behind me. Jazz sat down next to me.

" Wait we're allowed to chose where to sit?" I asked.

" Yeah duh!" She said. I looked behind me.

" Austin" I said to him motioning to the sit on my other side. He stood up and came over. He grinned at me and slipped his hand into mine before he sat down. I glanced at Jazz, she was staring me and Austins hands knotted together on the desk. She saw me looking and quickly looked down.

Five minutes later Mr Linkin walked into the room.

" Morning class" He said strolling up to his desk. I glanced at Jay, he was staring at Mr Linkin, a miscivious  smile was playing on his lips. He caught my eye and gave me a look as if saying " this is gonna be great" I looked back at Mr Linkin. He placed his coffee on his desk and slowly sat down on his chair.

What happened next was the funniest thing I had ever seen.

Mr Linkin let out a scream that could have been heard on the moon. He jumped up from his chair so quickly I almost missed it. He knocked his desk spilling his coffee all over himself and fell to the ground still screaming. The whole class erupted into roars of laughter. Jay threw his arms up in triumph, then put his head on his desk and started to shake with laughter. I was laughing so hard I could hardly breathe.

By the time the class had recovered and Mr Linkin was still on the ground groaning. Everyone had figured out who the culprits were. I was mobbed by the whole class. Highfiving me and yelling, I looked at Jay but he was in a crowd of students too.

" WHO DID THAT" Mr Linkin roared after finally recovering. I bit my lip and remained silent. Mr Linkin walked up to me.

" Why do you look so guilty Brooklyn?" He asked calmly.

" Because I did it" I said proudly.... not a good idea...

" GET OUT OF MY CLASS NOW!" He yelled, " AND TAKE JAY WITH YOU"

..... Busted... Me and Jay walked out of class and headed for the principals office.

" That was awesome" Jay said, grinning as we headed out of the principals office to break, we had each scored an after school but I think that was one of the best pranks we had pulled. I smiled " Yeah it was" I said. I ran ahead to find the others. They were all sitting in the usual spot. Rikki looked up at us and grinned. Charlie ran up to us and dragged Jay over to them. Jazz was on her phone not looking up.

" How come you didn't tell me about you and Austin" Jazz asked, still not looking up. I was surprised I was  sure she already would have been told.

" I thought you knew" I said.

" Does it look like I knew" She asked. I shook off her tone and sat down to eat.

School was over and I was in Callum's car on the way to Austin's house. He was sitting next to me with his arm around me. When we pulled up I got out and followed him to the door. It was opened by a short woman with blond hair, she smiled a warm smile and extended a hand. I shook it.

" You must be Brooke?" She asked, " I am Lena, I'm Austin's mum"

" Nice to meet you" I smiled.

" Ok enough nonsense, come on Brooke" Austin said leading me inside. He went into the kitchen and grabbed a can of Coke, he tossed one to me and lead me upstairs to what must have been his room. He sat down on a chair and started to drink his Coke. He pulled me onto his lap.

" I'm so glad your here" He sighed.

" Why?" I asked.

" My family have been a bit much lately" he smiled.

" Yeah mine too, but lets just forget about that" I grinned. He reached for my hand and wound his fingers though mine. I got up and sat back down on his lap on a pile of pillows on the floor. I leaned into him and he wrapped his arms around me. I turned around and he smiled. He bit his lip and pressed his lips into mine. we broke apart and he smiled, looking into my eyes with his perfect blue ones. He pulled my face to his and kissed me again, only this time the kiss was urgent and needy. He ran his hand though my hair and ran his tongue over my lips I opened my lips and he deepened the kiss. He pulled back.

" You really are perfect Brooke" He grinned at me.
