George is still ignoring Richard, but Richard doesn't know why. Was helping him through his hear really such a bad thing? He was only trying to help his friend.
Richard noticed he has become distant, not only that he's wearing larger prices of clothing. He also saw in George's face that George wanted to tell him something, but couldn't bring himself to it. Every time they saw each other, he gave his old friend the hurt puppy look, trying to draw something out. On the last day of school, Richard decided to confront George about it.
"George." He calmly said to the boy, scared that if he talked any louder, he would scare George away. George turned around, a look of panic and a hint of sadness behind his brown eyes.
"What." George unintentionally spat out at the alpha. Harsh, Richard thought.
"Why won't you talk to me, did I do something wrong?" He asked
"No Ritchie, you did nothing wrong."
"Well I obviously did because you're no longer talking to me." George started to walk away, but in trying to stop him, Richard grabbed his wrist, jerking him back towards himself.
"Please tell me why." He begged one last time before George snatched his hand back and left the other boy standing there in the middle of the hallway, in shock and sadness, not knowing what to do. His first true love had broken his heart.
