I walk the halls in a normal pace,
Yet everything around me moves so agonizingly slow.
Belittling gazes wherever I go,
The whispers and stares make me want to run from it all.
Though I try to block them all out,
They have never given me a chance to scream or shout.
So I numbed the pain, numbed my heart,
Now I can't even try to restart.
I wanted to love and to be loved,
But how do you be yourself again?
Can anybody make me feel again?
