(As I said in the last chapter, I was going to fast forward into the future a bit to speed up the story. By the way, I'm extremely sorry about how bad this chapter is. I feel like this chapter doesn't flow well and it's just awkward. Alright, I'm gonna stop talking. Enjoy the chapter, or at least try to enjoy it!)

Lauren's POV
Finals are finally over! Oh my fucking god, I'm so happy.

I've been so busy this past week for finals and now they're finally over! Whoo hoo! Oh my fucking god, I'm so happy!

So this semester is now over. Today I had my last two finals which concluded my fall semester for my senior year.

Holy shit, just one more semester and I'm done with high school. Holy crap!

Well since I'm now on winter break, the girls and I are going out tonight to celebrate. Tonight we are going out to The Luxe.

I just hope I don't see Alex there tonight. I hope he isn't there.

I don't want to see him.

You might be wondering, "why?" Well, the idiot hasn't talked to me in over 3 weeks. He's been ignoring me. He's been avoiding me. And I don't know why?

Like, what did I do?

It's hard to see him every day at school and him act as if I'm a complete stranger.

And my insomnia came back. Way worse than before. Without having his arms around me as I sleep, my nightmares came back. I barely sleep.

I hate that the guy I'm falling for doesn't even acknowledge me.

And I don't even know what happened.

As much as I try to deny that this affected me, it did. I cry when I think memories of him and I hanging out. But I won't let it happen again.

I'm done with him.

"Lauren," I hear Taylor say, breaking me out of my trance.
"Y-yeah. Sorry, did you say something?" I asked.
"We were just talking about the plans for tonight. But are you ok?" Alyssa asked me. No.
"Yeah, I'm fine," I lied.
"You sure? Is it anything to do with-" I cut off Angela.
"No, it has nothing to do with him. I just spaced out, that's all. Can we drop it and continue on with original conversation?" I asked. They all seemed concerned, but for my sake, they dropped it.

Thank you.

"So who's designated driver tonight?" Alyssa asked.
"Not me! I was designated driver last time," Angela said.
"I wanna get drunk before I get back to the witch's lair," I said and my friends laughed.
"Last time I stayed sober, I was practically taking care of you all like you were helpless babies," Taylor said. "I don't feel like doing that tonight."
"Alright, well it seems like Alyssa is our last resort for designated driver," I said and she looked at me with wide eyes.
"What the fuck? I don't wanna be sober tonight. I probably failed my finals today, let me forget that for just one night," she replied.
"You didn't fail your finals," I told her.

When it comes to schoolwork, Alyssa has the most trouble. But for finals, I helped her study. And now it's the waiting game. But she has no faith in herself. (Neither do I.)

"How do you know, Laur?" she asked me.
"Because I believe you passed your finals. And also, I had never seen you study so hard for finals," I told her.
"That's because I wanna graduate high school. That's why I'm trying really hard this year. But I'm still skeptical," she said.
"Don't worry, you passed it. Just believe that," Angela told her.
"Yeah, we all have faith in you," Taylor said.
"Thanks, guys," Alyssa said. "Anyway, who's designated driver for tonight?"
