(Hey guys, it's Citlaly! I'm so sorry it's been over a month since I last updated. I've been pretty busy with school and I've been dealing with health problems. But anyway, I've finally finished writing this chapter. By the way, if you need to refresh your memory about what's going on, I would reread chapters 49 and 50. Also, at the top is Never Be Alone by Shawn Mendes. Don't play the song yet, I'll let you know when. Ok, enjoy the chapter!)
Lauren's POV
For the past couple of days, Alex hasn't shown up to school, at all. No one has seen him. As much as I avoided him, I was always hoping to see him. Just a little glimpse.
But nothing.
I grab my phone to ask Damien about this. He's Alex's best friend, he should know.
Me:
<< Have you heard from Alex?
I wait for a response.
*ding*
I grab my phone and open up his message.
Ian| Lil' Freshie⚡️:
>> No
>> I haven't talked to him
Not even his own best friend knows! Where the hell are you, Alex?
Me:
<< How come?
Ian| Lil' Freshie⚡️:
>> He's not answering me
>> Idk where he is
Me:
<< It's ok, I just wanted to know
<< Let me know if there are any updates on him
Ian| Lil' Freshie⚡️:
>> Of course
I had asked Mariah at school about Alex's whereabouts, but she doesn't know. She said Alex told her he'll be gone for a few days and to tell their mother that he's on this school trip. Mariah doesn't believe him, but for the sake of her brother, she agreed.
She told me she's worried about him. Heck, even I am. But then again, there's no surprise there. I love Alex deeply, so there was without a doubt I was worried about him.

Alex's POV
"Alex, are you even listening to me?" I hear Damien yell into the phone.
"Yes, I'm listening to you, idiot," I say.
"You need to come home!" he yells into the phone. I'm currently in Toronto, hiding for two reasons.
One is that I need time away from everything in my life like the gang, my brother, my stupidity. And also because I didn't want to be home around Valentine's Day when my girlfriend and I aren't speaking.
"Why do I need to come home?" I asked him. I know I need to come home eventually, but it's too soon.
"Your girlfriend is worried about you. She's been asking about you all week. She just texted me a few minutes ago asking me if I've heard from you. I had to tell her no because it's true. Because my stupid fucking best friend has been ignoring me!" he yelled into the phone.
I mean, he's not wrong.
I have been ignoring him. I wanted to get away from everything. And I mean everything.
I know I shouldn't run away from my problems, but what else is there to do?
I know that's unfair to my best friend, but I needed some time to think. Which is why I ran away to Toronto. And for the most part, it's been working, sort of.
"Are you even listening to me?" I hear Damien yell. His tone got my attention.
"What? Wait, yeah! Yes, I'm listening," I say.
"Listen to me, dumbass! Lauren is worried about you, jackass! She misses you! And I know you miss her too! It's just a huge fucking coincidence that you leave on the week the day of love lands on!" Damien yells. And he's right.
