Chapter 19

Third POV

[The Nakano sisters had just finished their homework and we're heading to the Fireworks. We first stop at some stalls where they are offering food and games. I take this time to try to talk to Miku using what I learned from the dating sims]

Third: Hey, Miku. What's up? You look great tonight.

[Miku starts to blush]

Miku: Thank you.

[So far so good]

Third: I'm glad you asked me out.

[Suddenly her expression changes to shocked]

Miku: Asked you out!?!

[Shoot! What did I do wrong?]

Third: I mean, you wanted to see the fireworks together right?

Miku POV

[He's trying way too hard. I know he must of played some video game before coming here. I find it sweet but he doesn't have to try so hard]

Miku: You don't have to try so hard, Third.

Third: Try hard? I'm not trying hard! This is normal for me!

[I just look at him deadpanned. He got the message]

Third: Look. I just really want this night to go well. I mean, there was a reason that I asked you to the party.

Miku: Why did you?

Third: Because...

[Before he could finish his sentence, Yotsuba appeared]

Yotsuba: Third, I challenge you to see who can catch more goldfish for Raiha!

Third: Huh?

Yotsuba: I heard that you're great at games!

Raiha: Yeah. He's the best!

Yotsuba: Well, I think I'm better so let's have a competition to see who's better!

Third: Um...Yotusuba...

[I look at him. She's going to take him away from me. Tonight isn't a good night to ask him to the dance. She can take him tonight. I'll find a better opportunity]

Miku: I'll be fine, Third. We can hangout another time.

Third POV

[I look at her heartbroken. I really wanted to spend the night with her. If she says we can hangout another time then I guess I can wait until then. I look at Yotsuba with my gameface]

Third: You're on, Yotsuba!

[The three of us head to the stall where the goldfish were]

Yotsuba: You're going down, Third!

Third: Who are you pulling for, Raiha?

Raiha: Both of you!

Third: That doesn't work that way.

[I didn't care. All I was focusing on was defeating Yotsuba! Before I knew, I completely destroyed her. Raiha had three bags full of fish. All from me]

Raiha: Wow, Third! You're amazing!

Yotsuba: He just got lucky!

Third: You were foolish when you thought you could defeat me!

Raiha: Wow! You two look like you're on a date!

[Yotsuba and I looked at each other and turned very red]
