Chapter 38

Third POV

[Me and the Nakano Quintuplets are just staring at our parents who arrived out of nowhere. They had just asked us a question that we didn't know how to answer]

Mr. Nakano: So, who is it? Is it Nino? She is the most mature.

Mom: I heard it was the third one. He asked her to the party after all.

Third: How do you know that?

Dad: Fourth told us!

Mr. Nakano: So, who did you choose?

Third: Um...

Mom: Don't rush them! They probably want to keep it a surprise.

Mr. Nakano: Well I do hope we know before the evening is over.

Dad: Okay, guys. Time to go.

Third: Where are we headed?

Mom: We're going out to this fancy restaurant!

Nino: Dad, we just ate.

Mr. Nakano: Well, I want to know who is the chosen girl so you might as well come along.

[We all nod. We were taken to a fancy restuaunt where we had reservations? How do I know? Because my family bought the restaurant]

Dad: Did you guys know that this is Third's restaurant?

[The Nakano sisters looked at me]

Mom: How did that story go again, hun?

Dad: Third's favorite dessert is here. He didn't want to leave one time and said he would live here. I told him that he couldn't and he said, "Then just buy the restaurant!" And I did!

Itsuki: You bought him the restaurant?

Dad: No. I used some of his money out of my will. Don't worry. He got is back a few days later.

[The Nakano sisters looked at me]

Nino: Why didn't you tell us you were so rich?

Third: I thought you knew.

Mr. Nakano: So, Third, what do you think about my daughters? Let's start with Ichika.

Third: Um...

[Flashback]

[Ichika and leave the building and head towards the place for the audition]

Ichika: You nervous?

Third: A little bit. I just really want to nail this role.

Ichika: Why?

Third: I want to nail it for you. You really want this role. I want to get it for you.

[Ichika just stares at. Her eyes slightly tear up but she quickly puts on a forced smile]

Ichika: That's very sweet of you but it's just a role. There is always more.

[We make it to the place. We grab our numbers. We're near the end so we have some time. Ichika leaves to use the restroom. Something falls out of her pocket. It's a note. I'm tempted to read it. I do my best not to but I do it anyway. I open the note and read]

Ichika: "I really want to land this role. Now that I have a partner my chances go up. If I got this role it would be huge for me. JP is such a great guy and we really gel well. When I'm with him, I feel safe. I feel confident knowing that we will do well when I look at him. The first time we met was magical. I really want this role. I will be heartbroken if I don't get it. I want to get it because JP is doing it with me. I loved the moment that we met and I want to continue it. It was magic. I don't want not to get the roll because there is a possibility of him leaving if we fail. If there is a God, please help me."
