Chapter 33 - Chances

Jungkook couldn't see you going so he just left the scene taking car keys from Jin while rest stood there unable to process that all their search and everything went in vain. You wouldn't be accompanying them future as they wished. But soon regained their senses and followed Jungkook out while calling his name.

You were walking away trying to convince yourself that this was the right thing to do until your thoughts were cut off with Namjoon's yelling. "Jungkook no!!! you can't drive like this!!!". You turned around to see Jungkook running out of the airport with car keys jingling his hand while the rest of the members following him.

'No... no... no... he can't drive like this... he can't risk his life... this boy has gone out of his mind... I can't let him do this... I have to stop him... but what can I do?', you thought, completely frozen on your spot until an idea strikes your mind and your body automatically started moving towards the exit of the airport where Jungkook disappeared.

Jungkook, on the other hand, entered the car and sat in the driver's seat in an attempt to turn on the heater because he was feeling cold. He was trying to find the button for the heater and ended up pressing all the buttons in frustration. But little he knew that the car was an automatic car which starts with a button. 

By mistake, Jungkook ended up starting the car and it was removed from its parking mode. Jungkook panicked as he felt the car moving forward slowly. 'what do I do now?! why is this car moving forward?! why?! brake!!!', as soon as the idea of brakes struck his mind, he immediately stepped on the brake pedal but to his unfortunate luck he stepped on the accelerator pedal and that too hard.

The car was already speeding and Jungkook saw you coming in front of the car spreading your arms and yelling, "Stop right there Jungkook... you can't drive like this... I won't let you go any further".

By the time Jungkook gained his senses back and stepped on brakes, it was too late. The car had bumped into you and you ended up hitting your forehead on the front part of car hard enough to knock you out. Jungkook sat in the car with wide eyes and cursed under his breath while getting out of the car.

'what hell was this girl thinking?', Jungkook scooped your limb body that was laying on the ground in his embrace and patted your face to make you conscious and said, "shit Y/n... wake up... I was not going to drive... idiot why did you come in front of car?... do you think yourself as a superhero who would have stopped a bulky car with your strength... yah... wake up".

Jungkook kept saying things and didn't notice other members behind him until Yoongi spoke, "quit with your melodrama... she is only unconscious not dying". Jungkook had a tear rolling down on his cheek and looked at members with puppy eyes. "We seriously need to stop him from reading those overly dramatic fan-fictions... he is becoming weird day by day", Namjoon said.

"if you guys are done with your bickering can we take Y/n home even if it minor injury it is still bleeding and needs to be treated before it gets infected", Taehyung interjected. Jungkook nodded before carrying you in bridal style to the car followed by the rest except Tzuyu who went to get your stuff from the airport.

In the apartment that you shared with Tzuyu, you laid unconscious with others crowding in your room. You started gaining your senses back but still were unable to open your eyes. You head distant voices and felt like someone was holding your hand. "please wake up... I won't be able to live without you", you recognized the voice. Jungkook was choking on his own tears while he speaking, this saddened a bit because in years of togetherness you never saw Jungkook being this desperate for anything like this.

'does he love me?...

no... no... this can't be possible...

but what if he really does love me?...

I accept that I still love him...

and all the months I spend without him was literally nothing better like hell would have felt...

should I give him a second chance?...

but what if he hurts me again...

I will be one in pain again...

but without him also I am suffering alone...

whatever I choose either way I am the one who is going to suffer...

should I really take this chance?...

maybe it will work out this time...

he is in also suffering away from...

maybe the pain is the cost you pay for being in love with an idol'

You were still pretending to be asleep and your contemplation was cut in middle with a yelling, "quit with this overreacting... will you?... how many times do we have to tell you that she is going to wake up soon", Jin scolded Jungkook who only cried more.

"But she hasn't wakened up yet... what if she never opens her eyes... what if she loses all her memories because of her injury... what if I lose her for forever... and it will be all my fault... we should bring her to hospital what if she needs surgery", Jungkook panicked.

"This guy is seriously messed up in the head... didn't the doctor just checked up on her and assured us that she is not serious... do you really have to act and make this normal situation so dramatic... she is going to wake up just give her some time.", Jimin said annoyed with Jungkook.

In all this back and forth of bickering no one noticed that you had already opened your eyes and you too stayed quiet to listen. "oppa don't worry, even if she loses her memory it will be for the best... you both will be able to start afresh leaving all the bad memories behind.", Tzuyu tried to console Jungkook who seemed to take this into consideration along with the rest.

'what the hell', was the only thought in your mind before you decided to make them notice your presence. "Are amnesia and relationships some kind of joke to you guys?", you said to bring their attention towards you.

Jungkook immediately stood up from the chair beside your bed and hugged you tightly burring his face in your shoulder and said, "Thank god you came back... never ever do something like this... do know how dangerous it was... what if I couldn't stop the car in time... what if I had lost you for forever... do you know how worried I was?!"

You wanted to hug back but didn't want to seem easy so you broke the hug and said, "I guess everyone here likes to read fan-fictions... so much of drama is going on... are you sure you all are not going to act in dramas soon".

Everyone laughed at your cockiness while shaking their head, on the other hand, Jungkook was fuming with anger and ended up yelling at you, "YAH! you had an accident... you were knocked out for more than 5 hours and here you are mocking us... are you serious?... do you still have nerves to mess around after jumping in front of the  car?... what would I had done if something would have happened to you?!"

In all the things Jungkook said you caught up with only one thing, "5 hours!!! I missed my flight!!! what am I going to do now?... today was the last day to report there... I lost my chance just because of someone acting like a child", you said glaring Jungkook all your thoughts went away as soon as you losing your opportunity came in your mind.

I was going to finish it right in this part but I decided to make you all a bit curious. I felt like being evil today😈

just joking I kept writing and chapter went over 2500+ words so I divided it... two more chapters in which one is epilogue and this book will be done... I don't even know why I am telling this but whatever. :)
