Chapter 34 - Promises

Jungkook flicked your forehead making your whine in pain which made him embrace you before rubbing your forehead gently and apologized for causing you pain. Jungkook cupped your face and looked undeviatingly in your eyes before saying, " I love you... I love so much that I can't even explain in words... I don't even know how to show it either but please don't leave me..."

"... I thought I killed you when you didn't open your eyes... the thought of losing you one more time scared to me to death... I thought I won't be to see you again even when others told it's the opposite... please just give me one more chance...

"...I swear I won't fail you... I swear I will make it worth it... I won't ever think of leaving you or hurting you... I will never lose my way... it will always lead to you... I promise", he ended with watery eyes which made you tear up as well.

Jungkook hugged you again and said, " I am so sorry for whatever I had done in past but please forgive me and believe in me once again... I only have my words to offer you and I will make sure to stand by them at any cost please". You didn't know what to say and your silence was killing Jungkook.

you started with uncertainty, "but what if- " to be cut off. Jungkook broke the hug and said," please just one chance... I need only one chance to show my sincerity... just think if being alarmed of these 'but what if's'... you won't give me a chance and our future in which we can be together with each other will be seized even before we could have it".

"After whatever you did Jungkook... I can't even trust myself fully... I am so scared to know that everything I had been thinking as reality will turn out to be fiction... Jungkook will you be able to stay on words that you won't hurt me... please", you questioned with tears filling your eyes.

"I won't... I promise... let me prove it to you... I swear I won't be able to endure without you... I have been spending nights just waiting for you to come back to me... I was finding you everywhere... we even went to Y/Cn... I seriously don't know what will bring your trust back but I can promise you that I won't ever hurt you because I love you", Jungkook said holding your hand firmly and never broke eye contact.

"okay... I will give you a chance...", Jungkook couldn't hold his smile back. "... but only with one condition", you continued. "accepted... whatever you will ask for... I will do it", Jungkook replied with no hesitation making you and others chuckle whose presence in the room was long forgotten.

"I want us to make sure of our feeling first before going under any kind of commitment... I don't have enough strength to be broken again", you finished making Jungkook immediately hugged you and stroke your hair. He could see how vulnerable you were, you finally hugged him back and cried in his embrace which made Jungkook tear up again. " I love Ms Y/n... let's start over again", Jungkook whispered in your ear.

"I love you too Mr Jeon Jungkook", you both smiled making others cringe at both of your cheesiness and groaned gaining your attention. You broke the hug and stood up from your bed asking, "what would like to have?".

"a good rest will do", Yoongi replied yawning and rest agreed. You looked at them confused, you understand Yoongi being tired since it is a part of his personality to be tired all day long but not other because they always charged and they seemed to read your face.

"don't you know we have been on the world tour and did three concerts in past seven days all at different locations of the globe and then came running here in the middle of this to find you... we haven't slept for two days straight and are jet lagged", Yoongi replied while yawning.

You chuckled before saying, "are you serious...Min Yoongi survived without sleep... that's new". Everyone chuckled at your remark while Yoongi scoffed and said, "at least in all this one good thing happened... you became savage like so I will drop my plan of beating your ass after finding you for leaving us like that"

You smiled and went to hug Yoongi who not so far from you which he gladly returned but tried to keep his poker face on. Everyone had a smile on their faces and gave you both your time knowing how special your relationship with Yoongi was. You both wanted to protect each other like siblings and if one gets hurt another one was ready to destroy that person. When Yoongi was unable to help you Jungkook left you he suffered a lot on inside but couldn't show.

The moment was disturbed with loud banging on the main door. Tzuyu went to check and a few moments later, Mark barge your room and held you by your shoulder and asked, "Y/n are you okay?...did you get hurt a lot?... I came directly from Paris right after I get to know about your accident".

Mark kept checking you for any kind of injuries while you just removed his hands off your shoulder and said, "you do know that we are not at all close for you to check on me like this?". You were annoyed and that was evident in your tone. Mark only came closer and said, "I know... but I want to be close with you... I want to be the one for you... why don't you just give me a chance?"

You rolled your eyes and crossed your arms on your chest before saying, "not again Mark...what are you here for?". You ignored his plead which agitated him, "I said I am sorry for what I did but can't you see how much I like you... Is it really hard to give me a chance?... I know I hurt you but I didn't mean to... I know that k-" before Mark could conclude his sentence you picked the pillow beside you and threw it at his face which made him stumble a few steps back.

You knew what he was about to say and you didn't want Jungkook to know about it. "Yah... won't you stop it...", you said while moving in his direction with your hands clenched in a fist that didn't get unnoticed by Jungkook. Jungkook held you by your arm to stop you from proceeding any further.

"please listen to me once... I was worried about you Y/n", Mark said which made your blood boil, you tried to get out of Jungkook's arms but failed terribly when he held you by your waist. "Come here jerk... I will knock some senses into you... last time wasn't enough for you", You said while struggling to get out of Jungkook's arms.

"I am here to worry about her...you don't have to bother yourself with anything related to her... Hyung please take him away... she became strong in these months... I won't be able to hold her for long", Jungkook exclaimed through his teeth while coping to hold you in place.

"Who are you to worry about her?", Mark inquired. "I am her boyfriend... got any problem with that... Hyung! take him out now!... I will handle her", Jungkook almost yelled while you were moving your arms and legs in the air to get free. "I am sorry for everything I did Y/n... you are very lucky to have her", Mark said with no emotion on his face.

"Lucky my foot", you scoffed while Mark just left the room followed by others when Jungkook gestured them to leave you and Jungkook alone. "why are you so worked up about him?... I have never seen you enraged with anyone like this before... why did he do to you?", Jungkook asked curiously.

You froze in your position withJungkook holding you tightly from your waist. Your reaction caused Jungkook to furrow his eyebrows in suspicion and he loosened his grip on your waist before turning you around to face him. Suddenly your mouth felt dry and you gulped down your saliva fearing his reaction.
