Dan's POV-

"There's my grown up boy!" my mum coos. Usually, I would be complaining at my mum's commentary, but right now I give no shits. I've never been so happy! I feel like I'm floating. My mum holds out her arms and I run into them, hugging her tightly.

"It seems only yesterday you were setting off for Uni" she reminisces.

"Well yesterday sure seems like a long time ago to me then" I joke. She giggles. I turn to my dad, who hugs me close.

"I'm proud of you, son" he tries to sound manly, but we both know he's about as manly as Chandler from friends.

"Dad, I know you're trying to hide your sappiness" I giggle.

"I am not sappy! I am merely... weepy?" he tries to cover his tracks. I just laugh at him and hug him tightly. I turn to my brother, Derek and my sister, Delila. My mum went with a theme with our names.

"You're old now, Dan. I'm surprised you don't have to have those cod liver oil tablets" Derek jokes. I ruffle his hair playfully.

"I'll tell you that when you're my age, see how you like it" I sass. He laughs. Del pounces at me with a hug and I hug her back, swinging her around.

"I love you, little bro" she says. I laugh.

"I love you too, big sis" I say, before I return her to the ground and we go home.

I have plans to go out with my friends Penny and Jake today, celebrating Penny and I's release from Uni. Jake's one year younger than us, so he has nothing to celebrate but gets to be jealous the whole night. I plan to get very drunk tonight. I dress in my eclipse t-shirt with my black leather jacket over it and jeans. I straighten my hair, gluing it to my forehead. My phone rings and I answer it.

"Danny!" Penny's voice sounds.

"Penny, I've told you like a million times not to call me Danny" I tut.

"Oh, sorry, 'Daniel'!" she changes it.

"Yeah keep working on that, anyway, when are you picking me up?" I ask.

"We're outside now, get your ass out here so we can get drunk!" she cheers. I laugh.

"Ok, I'm coming out" I say.

"Dan, you did that already" she jokes. I laugh again, before hanging up. I say bye to my parents before getting into the car. We drive to the club, blaring fall out boy. We arrive and Jake orders drinks, keeping his ID card handy (we all look about twelve, especially Jake). He comes back and we start talking. The music blares and I consider dancing, but decide I need more alcohol before I do that. Whilst we're sharing weird stories of our relationships we've had, I look around for the loo. As I do so, my eyes fall on a group of people conversating. There's four of them, one brunette girl, two blond boys and one boy with surprisingly pale skin and black hair. For some reason my eyes rest upon him. I snap myself out of it and go to the toilet, glancing at the boy on my way.
