Phil's POV-

Dan's gone to tell his friends so I decide to call my friends and ask them to come round so I can tell them. None of them decline so at 13:30, they start to turn up. I open the door for the first knock.
"Philly!" Marie squeals, throwing her arms around me. I squeeze her back and invite her in.
"Heya Phil!" Tim comes shortly after, giving me a hug.
"Phil!" One of my new friends, Kim, greets, followed by her girlfriend, Pam. I met them through Tim. Once they're all settled, Marie asks:
"So, what's the occasion?"
"I thought Phil just wanted to see us but there you go." Kim shakes her head. I laugh.
"Well... Dan and I got engaged last night." I announce. There's silence before a storm of 'congratulations!' And 'finally's. I smile as they engulf me in a hug. They all say to go out to the nearest pub and drink on the occasion, to which I agree.

After a while of laughing, making filthy jokes about Dan and I and watching my friends all get drunk whilst I lay off the wine and go for a few beers, I'm ready to head back home to Dan. I say goodbye and stop them all drinking too much before heading back to our apartment. I walk in to see a trail of roses leading to the dining room. I follow them with a light heart. I see Dan and gg him tightly, kissing him gently.
"Dan, you didn't-"
"-have to do this? I know, but since my last one went down so very well I'm doing it again." He smiles sweetly. I kiss his lips and we sit down. Dan is a good cook so the meal is made 10 times more enjoyable if that's possible. I hold his hand, stroking my thumb over the ring.
"So, uh, I dunno if it's too early to talk about our wedding but-"
"You know, I was going to say the same thing." I chuckle. He sighs out of relief.
"Well, it's probably way to early to set a date but I have one in mind." He shrugs.
"When?" I ask.
"How about the second of July? When..."
"... we met for the first ever time at that bar." I finish, having an 'unagi' moment.
"I like it. Shall we make that the date?" I ask.
"I'm free if you are." He jokes. I run my thumb across his cheek and kiss it. He turns his head so our lips connect. I sit back down. It all feels real but not real now. I, Phil Lester, am getting married.
