Phil's POV-

Dan's mum leaves right after the incident. I decide to go to see if Dan's ok. I knock on the door.

"Dan?" I ask.

"Yeah?" he asks.

"Can I come in?" I question.

"Ok" he answers. I open the door, he's on his bed, looking at his laptop. I perch on the bed.

"I'm sorry about my mum-"

"Don't apologise. She made a mistake, a pretty bad one" I say gently.

"She's such a blabber mouth" he sighs.

"Well, just so you know it's ok that your not strait. I'm not strait myself" I assure him. He looks at me.

"You're gay?" he questions.

"If that's what you wanna call it" I shrug. His lips twist into a smile. I like his smile.

"Thank you for not being weird about it" He says in a small voice.

"Hey, we don't even need to bring it up again. It can be a distant memory if that's what you want it to be" I confirm in the gentle voice I've been using.

"I'd like that" he says.

"Well then it's settled. What were we talking about?" I act. He laughs, before scooting closer to me and wrapping his arms around me.

"You're great, Phil" he mumbles against my chest. My cheeks heat up.

"Thank you" I say, before wrapping my arms around him. We stay like that for a while. I feel oddly content. I'm never usually one to cuddle, but I like this cuddle. I think it's because I feel like I've helped him, and I like helping people.
