Dan's POV-

The doorbell rings and I rush to open the door. My mum, dad, brother and sister all stand outside, smiling at me. I hold my arms out as they greet me and then they turn to Phil and hug him.
"Where's my granddaughter?" Mum asks impatiently. We giggle.
"In the bouncer, mum." I answer, before closing the door and going to the kitchen to make coffee. My mum's picked up Chrissie and started bouncing her up and down on her knee and cooing at her. There's another knock at the door and Phil gets it. His mum, dad and brother and his wife are all there and they flood in, saying hello and then seeing that my family are here and getting more excited. Our families get along well which is always a plus. It means they can all see Chrissie and us together. Phil's family all day hi to me and I add four more cups to the six I'm already making. Once I've finally made the tea and coffee, we all sit around the coffee table and have mixed conversations. I get a sudden rush of nostalgia, remembering when I'd just finished Uni when I was 22 and I was cuddling my family before going out with my friends. Little did I know that I'd run into the man I love and live with and have a child with. All this happened in three-ish years. It's crazy how fast time flies. But I wouldn't change it for the damn world. These three years have been he best of my life. And to think that's the duration of uni. It's all crazy.
"Can I just say how proud I am of you two?" Phil's mum asks. I reach over and take Phil's hand and smile widely at them.
"Yeah! To think that my Danny has a family with such an amazing man is so emotional!" My mum adds.
"He really is an amazing man." I heart-eye Phil, who blushes and looks away.
"Well Dan is amazing too. I mean, look how happy they've made each other!" Phil's mum smiles and we both blush.
"Ugh this conversation is too sweet, Jack, do you want to go have a beer in the kitchen?" Phil's dad asks. My dad nods and they leave after patting us both on the shoulder.
"I'm proud of you too, Dan," Del smiles at me before looking at Phil. "Both of you."
"Yeah me too." Derek adds.
"Don't even get me started." Martyn laughs.
"Yeah don't get either of us started, you'll be here all day." She adds. We all giggle.

Later, when they're all gone, Phil is holding Chrissie in his arms and I'm holding her hand with my head on Phil's shoulder. Everything is so peaceful, I can't help but sink into Phil. And look up at his perfect face. He feels my eyes on him and look over at me. I open my mouth to say 'I love you'. But he gets there before me.
"I love you." He tells me and my eyes soften. I kiss his lips passionately and he kisses back with just as much passion. I feel the love radiating from both of us and the happiness I feel is indescribable. This truly is the best feeling. The feeling of being in love.
