Third POV.

Ruth was sat in her bed, not bothering to help Elena and Bonnie hand out the Comet programs, she wasn't feeling it. All she wanted to do was sleep, she had a painful headache and a sore stomach. She honestly didn't care about seeing the Comet, it wasn't something that interested her. So she turned to her side and fell asleep.

"I accidentally touched Stefan. And I got a really bad feeling." Bonnie said to Elena, Ruth tuned into their conversation, her brows furrowed in confusion."Is that it? Bonnie." Elena spoke out in annoyance.

"It was bad bad!"

"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Ruth asked, genuinely worried about her best friend.

"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend."

"And I love you for it, I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year, and I'm starting to kind of feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what? Stefan is a big part of that."

"Good morning, Elena, Ruth. Good morning, Bonnie." Stefan walked up to the girls, Ruth jumped in horror.

"We need to get you a bell, Stef." Ruth said to her friend. He chuckled at her, while Bonnie grew pale. She looked to Stefan and relived the feeling she got when she touched him.

"Hey, um, I gotta find Caroline. She's not answering her phone. So I'll see you guys later." Bonnie walked off, Ruth began to follow her. She turned to Elena and Stefan and waved bye. They nodded and smiled at her.

"Miss Gilbert?" Tanner called out, Elena turned to him and looked at him in confusion. She hummed in question. "Pearl Harbor?" She looked down, not knowing the answer.

"December 7, 1941." Stefan spoke up, Ruth smirked.

"Thank you, Miss Gilbert." People chuckled around them.

"Anytime."

"Very well. The fall of the Berlin wall." Tanner spoke directly to Stefan.

"1989. I'm good with dates, sir."

"Are you? How good? Keep it to the year. Civil Rights Act." Rut grew bored with what they were saying and secretly went on her phone under the desk. When her parents died, they left her all of her adoption information. That's how she found out that she had a twin brother, her mother was called Emma. And she gave them up when they were new-born, their father unknown. That's why, Ruth was on her phone. She was doing research on her biological family, but nothing had came up so far.

Ruth walked with Elena to the Cheerleading area, she was never a participant, but she liked to be there for Elena. She sat next to the girls and went on her phone, she was never one for flexibility. As Elena and Bonnie spoke, Ruth researched Emma Swan.

Nothing came up, a few Facebook accounts, some weird websites. That was all, she sighed as she scrolled, not looking up when Caroline came. But as she was about to give up, she came across a criminal record. It was a woman arrested, it didn't say why. It had her mugshot, the woman had light blonde hair, just like Ruth's, she wore glasses. It also said she gave birth to twins in prison.

Ruth stared at it in shock, she would tell Elena later, but right now, she would do some more research.

Ruth was sat in her room, doing more research. She was looking through the adoption information her parents left her. It said her mother should be around thirty four, and that she gave birth to her children in prison, just like it said on that internet record she found. (AN: Henry wasn't ten when he found Emma, he will have been fourteen when he found her. And Emma would be turning thirty-two,) Ruth found a website with her face on, it said she found people for other people. But she was currently residing in Maine. Ruth emailed her.
