"The answer's probably right in front of us. You haven't answered the question. What exactly did Pumpkin do to your family? My theory is either he erased their memories or put a dislike spell on you so your family would pretend you didn't exist. Now you said that Emerald told you that your time scrounging about in Salt was just a test and that the Light protected you a little bit and the Magicians didn't do anything to you during that time except drain your bank account. I remember you saying to your fans at one of your concerts that your bank account was pretty much gone. You don't have to tell us, but this will help you," Piopold pushed.
"I'm physically not allowed to say what he did," Lainey said. It was a block on her mouth. It was one of the things Pumpkin had done to her. She still needed to tell them about Emerald being somewhere in the mansion, but she had to get to Mars most importantly. She tried to push the doubts about Mars away from her swimming mind.
