"May 17th?" I asked Ash. We were sitting on the couch thinking of wedding plans.
He shrugged. "Yah, I mean if you want. I thought it would be, I don't know, different. I mean you see people mainly getting married in the summer or winter, but never in the spring. It just seemed right. I thought about it for a moment.
"Okay. May 17th it is." I smiled, looking up at him. He smiled and leaned down to kiss my forehead.
"Sounds good." Ash replied.
"This is the one!" I squealed. I was at David's Bridal with Sky and Karen, trying to find my wedding dress. The wedding was a few weeks away.
"It looks perfect on you, sweetie!" Karen gushed. She was right. I looked amazing in it. I saw myself in the full length mirror, turning around to look at my dress from different angles. I smiled in satisfaction.
"Why wear a dress if it's going to be ripped off a few hours later?" Sky said. I gasped and slapped her.
"SKY! Stop being a perv!" She just shrugged and chuckled.
"What? We all know it's true." She said with a wink. I rolled my eyes and headed off to the dressing room to get changed back to my other clothes.
I was so glad the rest of the wedding things were finished. We picked the cake and everything else out within two months. All that was left was the dress, which can now be checked off the list. I can't believe how quickly this is all coming together. I could not wait to be Mrs. Jennifer Anne Smith.
"Ready for lunch?" Karen asked after we paid for the dress.
"Yep." I answered as we got into the car. She started the car and then we headed to the nearest restaurant.
"What kind of cake are you guys having again?" Sky asked as the waiter set her food in front of her. We were at Red Lobster.
"Red velvet...duh!" I answered back with a grin on my face. Ash said I could have any kind of cake I wanted, so of course I picked my favorite. No surprise there.
Sky rolled her eyes. "Of course it is." She replied, shaking her head. I took a bite of my lobster pasta.
A moment later Karen spoke. "What was the theme of your wedding?" she asked curiously. I swallowed then answered her question.
"Roses." I said smiling. They were my favorite flowers so I thought it would be cute to do a wedding based around them.
"Ooo, cute!" Karen and Skylar said together. I nodded then looked down to take another bite of my pasta. A few moments later I spoke.
"I'm just glad I have everything." I said with relief in my voice. I saw Sky shaking her head.
"Not everything." She answered back with a smirk on her face. I looked at her confused.
"Come on Jen. You are forgetting one of the most important outfits for a wedding. I mean do I really have to spell it out for you? Honestly Jen, what are you suppose to wear on your honeymoon?" She asked with a huge grin on her face. My cheeks burned instantly at the thought.
"Oh. That outfit." I replied understanding what she was talking about. She nodded and winked.
"That is something you two girls can shop for on your own." I heard Karen say. I blushed even more. Why did Sky have to be so embarrassing sometimes?
