We followed the detective down a narrow hallway to one of the rooms where they questioned suspects. I looked through the two way mirror and saw Cat sitting there with her head down and guilt written all over her face. I made a growling sound in my throat. She deserves whatever comes to her.

"I can only have one person in here at a time." Detective Hernandez said. I looked up at Ash with worry in my eyes. He squeezed my hand reassuringly.

"You go. I'll be right out here." He said. I kissed him on the cheek then followed the detective through the door.

As soon as I entered in and saw Catherine sitting there, the anger boiled up in me. How could she do this to me? She tried to take away the man I love. I thanked God that she did not succeed. I would have been even more upset if I had to face her, knowing she was a murderer.

"You have a visitor." The detective told Catherine. She looked up and when her eyes spotted me they widened. I glared at her as I sat down. Not taking my eyes off her wide brown ones.

"Crap." She mumbled. Yah, she knew she was in big trouble now.

We stared at each other in silence for a couple minutes and then one of us spoke.

"Listen Jen, I'm so so-" I put my hand up to cut her words off. I didn't want to listen to what she had to say. If she was really sorry, she wouldn't have done this in the first place. Friends don't try to kill their friend's boyfriend.

"Save that bullshit for someone else." I told her. Man was I mad.

"Bu-" I cut her off again. She leaned back in her chair shaking as I got up from the table.

I paced back and forth then stopped. I turned towards her with my arms crossed.

"Why?" I asked. "Why would you do it?" I was about to break down. I felt so hurt and betrayed right now. If only Ash could be in here with me to make me feel better.

"Because..." She trailed off, looking down at the table with a frown on her face.

"Because why?" I questioned."And don't tell me some crap about you trying to get your best friend back. Just save it for the judge. I mean come on Cat! We have been best friends since kindergarten! And then one perfect guy comes in my life, and you try to ruin it for me! If you wanted to hang out you should've just asked! I mean come on! You took your jealousy too far. We could have been celebrating my engagement!" Her eyes went wide. "Yah, I'm engaged now. And I could have been talking about it with you, and making you my maid-of-honor, but no, you are too busy sitting here at the police station, because you tried to kill my fiancée!" Tears welled up in my eyes, but I took a calm breath to clear them. Cat started sobbing right in front of me. Great. I tried to not cry but I couldn't help it. A few tears slipped down my cheeks. I always cry when I see others cry.

"I'm s-so sorry!" Cat sobbed. "I don't know why I did what I did! I j-j-just..." She couldn't even finish her sentence. I wiped away my tears and turned to walk away towards the door.

"Whatever Cat." I said, sounding strong, while deep down in me I wanted to break down so bad. "Save it for someone who cares." Then I opened the door and walked out.

I turned to see Ash there with his arms wide open. I ran into his arms and hugged him tight, just as the tears flowed down.

"Come on." He said. "Let's go home." I sniffled and pulled away from him. He wiped my tears then took my hand as we followed Detective Hernandez back to the front. Before we left, I turned to look at the detective.
