his lips were softer than i expected them to be.

everything here that was happening was wrong, but dammit it felt better than i could ever have imagined.

counting the time from when i first started at the university up until now, it had only been roughly a week since.

oh how so much can happen in such a short amount of time.

and how swiftly nora can make thirty bucks.

but they wouldn't find out, they couldn't and they won't ever have the chance to.

"princess, i think someone's looking for you." calum recaptures my attention by handing me my vibrating phone that once sat atop of my jacket.

"shit." i muttered to myself. "hi luke."

"noelle! where the fuck did you go?"

"i went for a walk, i needed some time to breathe lu." i sighed. "can you just pick me up at the high school bus stop, the one we would take in the morning not the arrival stop."

"yeah. i'll see you in five minutes, bye."

and then the call ended.

"i-i'm sorry, i-i have to g-go." i stammered as i pulled on my jacket.

"slow down, love." calum laughed, myself jumping at the mere sound of his voice. "the stop is only down the road from here, take a minute, yeah?"

calum took me by the hand and sat us down on his leather sofa, himself pulling my body upwards and atop of him.

"i hate seeing you cry, princess." he whispers as he moves strands of hair from the front of my face. "you're so pretty, love, so fucking pretty."

i swear to god i began to feel queasy... but in a good way?

"you still owe me that little date of ours, little girl." he says, making my head snap up. "you didn't think i'd forget, did you?"

"n-no." i stuttered.

"no what?" he raised an eyebrow.

oh god...

"n-no s-sir." i stammered.

"i don't know what you're doing to me, princess." he mumbled. "but i really fucking like it, even if it costs me my job."

"i don't want you to get in trouble." i shook my head. "especially for something so pathetic as being with me a-and such."

"my sweet, little girl." he shook his head. "what's the fun in sneaking around if you'll never get caught?"

my heart skipped a beat, more than just once.

was he actually serious about this, about any of this at all?

"come on love, that lanky friend of yours is probably waiting." calum stands me up and walks us out the door, only to lead me down the road to where the bus stop is. "i'll be seeing you first thing tomorrow morning, princess. and remember, you're staying after class. understood?"

"y-yes sir." i nodded rather quickly.

"good girl." he winked before starting in the opposite direction.

i quickly started down the road towards the bus stop and got into the car, sitting down next to luke without a single word being said.

"where the hell have you been?" luke questions. "fuck, elle, i'm sorry for yelling. i'm just worried about you, alright, that's all. what happened? did you see--"

"no." i answered all too quickly. "please don't bring him up. just drive, take us home so we can order pizza and watch disney movies all night long. okay?"

"anything for you." luke smiled and kissed my cheek before driving towards the highway. "so, are we talking cartoons or classics?"

"cartoons, no more crying tonight." i cracked a half smile.

that and a whole lot of secrets moving forward...
