Angel in the Dark

It's so hard opening up
About your worries, fears and doubts
To people who are closest to you
Because no matter how you try
They will never understand you.

They may be present physically,
They may assure you they'll be there
To support you all the way
But once you fail them
You become a failure in their eyes
(Even if they tell you you're not)

I guess that's the reason why
There are a lot of fallen angels.
They couldn't meet everyone's expectations
Even if they do their best,
Even if they sacrifice a lot,
Even if they get wounded so much
To fight for what everyone wants...
Still they are not good enough.

And so...
The burden that weighed them down
For the longest time
Keeps evolving and becoming monsters
Who visits them in unexpected time
Of the dark night.

It eats every faith they have
in these angels' hearts.
It kills every hope
And every positivity there is
Until what's left
Is pure darkness.

(Would someone save these Angels?
Or would hatred and disappointment
Cloud the hearts of their loved ones
And abandon them...slowly?)
