Dan stumbled down the much darker streets, clutching his hand to his bleeding nose. He felt so dirty. He didn't feel dirty with phil but this...it felt different. 

The curly haired boy had made it to his front door banging on it loudly before falling to his knees. He screamed and cried as salty tears fell down his rosy, bruised cheeks. 

"Adrian! Adrian let me in...please! Please let me in Adrian!" He screamed out between choking sobs. 

A few seconds later, Dan heard the very faint 'click' as the door was unlocked and opened quickly. 

Adrian's heart stopped as he stared wide-eyed down at his older brother "Dan! Oh my god what the fuck happened?! Where were you!?" 

Dan was in too much shock to move as Adrian got down to his level and Dan threw himself forward into the younger boys arms. 

"Dan please...." Adrian pleaded as his eyes also began to go glassy with tears "tell me what's wrong....tell me where you've been..." 

Dan looked up into his brothers brown eyes, the feeling of dirtiness overtaking him again. He let out a strangled cry as Adrian's soft arms pulled him inside. 

"Dan please....anything....please...." 

Dan didn't answer. He couldn't answer. Adrian would call him dirty and a mistake of a brother. His mum would kill him a gay man-whore and tell him to get the fuck out of her house. Alex was bad news, he knew this already. It was only now that he realised how bad Alex actually was. Dan felt no emotion but pain and dirtiness. He wanted to sleep, he wanted the floor to open up and swallow his broken body whole. 

Dan breathed in heavily as he began to hyperventilate. Feeling his chest tighten quickly as if someone had gone into his chest and began to violently squeeze his heart along with his internal organs. Adrian's heart pumped quickly, filled with adrenaline. 

"Dan what's going on?!" He cried before Dan could no longer be found hunched down infront of his younger brother. 

"Mum! Mum oh my god mum! Get down here! Dan's passed out! Help!" 

Dan's slightly shorter mum had come charging downstairs in seconds. Her face was pale, probably from all the puking as she looked down at Dan and audibly gasped. Quickly sprinting over, giving Adrian a helpless look as tears formed. Arian was already in tears, turning around swiftly unable to face his closest friend like this.

Dan wakes up quickly, jumping at the sudden light in his face. 

"w-where am I?" Dan coughed out with a raspy voice.

"The hospital." A young man said simply as Dan turned his head to find a doctor checking his computer at Dan blood pressure. 

"What happened?" 

"I could as you the same thing, young man." 

Dan sighed and looked away, biting his lip with anxiety until he could feel the metallic taste. "oh..." 

The doctor looked over at Dan as he arched a slim dark eyebrow. "I'm Elliott. Your mum and younger brother brought you here after you'd apparently gone missing that night and came home screaming and crying. You passed out pretty bad by the way to answer your question. Care to tell me what happened? We're gonna need to know." 

Dan furrowed his eyebrows as he looked at the doctor "How long have I been knocked out for?"

"12 hours," the doctor stared sternly down at Dan "Daniel, stop procrastinating! Were gonna have to know what happened..." 

Dan looked away "I prefer Dan and um..." He blinked back the tears threatening to be free. 

"It's okay Dan take your time. Pretend I'm not here and you're just having a casual talk with yourself okay?"

"o-okay" Dan looked down as he began to talk "I-I fell out with this boy, my only friend, phil at school and I-I-" Dan gulped blinking back another load of tears "I snuck out to the bar and got really drunk to block out the pain. As I was leaving the bar a boy who always tries to be phils boyfriend, called my name. I turned around and as I was drunk, he- he took advantage of me..." The tears began to fall out Dan's eyes as he thought back to the previous night. 

"He pinned me against the wall and got lower and lower and he he hit me and that's where this comes from..." Dan pointed to the large purple bruise on the side of his face "and I guess now I'm here...." 

The doctor nodded understandingly before sighing and walking out of the room "Thank you for your time Dan.." 

Just like that, he was gone, leaving Dan in the bright hospital room.
