Is Holding hostages and kidnapping the same

If you kidnap someone you must hold the hostage because of you do then there's no point so then why do people say they were kidnapped and held hostage if the go hand in hand

These were the things going through Blaze's head as she waited earnestly for Elena to wake up.

Blaze's thought were interrupted by a groan she looked over at Elena to see her finally moving around. With a Cheshire grin etched in her face she patiently waited for her to awaken.  With a start Elena jumped in her chair for she couldn't jump out because she was tied to it.

" Well look who finally decided to grace US with her presence. How are ya. " Not expecting nor wanting Elena to answer that question she continued on. " Ya now you look so lightweight but after carrying you for 2 hours I'm starting to think you have let yourself go Elena . " 

Knowing that she had hit a nerve Blaze smiled and waited for Elena's reaction. And that exactly what she got. Elena looked at Blaze with hatred in her eyes but before she could say anything Blaze had started talking again. " I know what your gonna ask already and the answer is I dont know yet."

" Blaze what you mean you dont know yet. What is the question your even answering". " Well you wanted to know if I was gonna kill you then drench your body in gasoline and burn it and toss it in the the river under the bridge right. And like I said I dont know yet. Come on Elena keep up will ya." Elena was horrified was she really gonna die. Blaze looked at her face and laughed. Ohh God the look was so priceless.

She wanted to take a picture so she pulled out her phone and did so. " I'm sorry I just couldn't resist the look on your face was perfect. "What are you going to do to me." She skipped out the room making sure to shut the door behind her. Skipping to the door she jerked it open. When she open the door she looked to she four very handsome originals standing in front of her.

"Well what a very pleasant surprise. Now may I ask what you are doing here. Elijah was the first to speak up Ms. Gilbert we would like your sister back please." Putting on a shocked face she answered. "I have no idea what you are talking about.

" Darling we know you lying just give her back." Answered a very sexy Kol Mikealson. "What if I dont want to." Well then love we will have a serious problem." "And what is that Klaus."

"Well love now we will just have to take you with us now wont we." And in a flash she was picked up and speed to the Mikealson mansion. " " Is this gonna become daily for you kidnapping me you know I'm almost sure that's illegal. "Say the one who did it just 4 hours ago."

Frustrated she turned around and stomped over to Finn. " Can you take me home again please." "No I can't sweetheart but I can take you away for these animals." And with that Finn swept away Blaze again leaving the brothers fuming again.
