As she made her way down the ladder, (y/n)'s foot slipped on some water and she lost her balance, the momentum from her run had caught up to her, and she began to fall backwards.

At the last second, Leo reached out and grabbed her hand, pulling her away from the nasty sewer water below and into his arms, that he wrapped tightly around her waist and held her close.

"Dont you ever do that again,"

"Do what, slip?" (Y/n) sniffled, slidding her arms (puny compared to his) under his and pressing her face into his plastron.

"Leave me" he answered quietly, a silence growing between the two as they held each other.

"Ahem!" Raph yelled from a few yards down the tunnel, the two teens broke apart, blushing madly.

"Lets go, Donnie's waiting." He grumbled, turning on his heel and heading back the way he came. Leo and (Y/n) shared a concerned look before walking after Raph.

As they walked, Leo watched (y/n) carefully, her hips swaying side to side as if she was listening to music, thinking to himself,

'I think I'm in love'

Leo understood the danger of loving a human, and that love was a big deal, but just watching (Y/n) and being with her made him feel like his world has so much more meaning, even with an extremely sensitve wound in his shoulder.

As they neared the exit, Leo reached slowly, hesitantly for (Y/n)'s hand, his stomach twisting and turning in all different directions, wondering how she would react if he were to hold her hand, like he sees the couples in the movies do,

"Mickey! Donnie!" (Y/n) ran forward, embracing Donnie in a tight hug, then rubbing Mickeys cheek and she inspected a bruise over his eye.

Leos heart sunk as she moved further and further from his grasp, but made no effort to rush forward for any move he made already made the pain in his arm unbearable, and rushing would only increase it dramatically.

(Y/n) choked back a sob and turned her head from the turtles, hiding a tear from their sights, although they all knew.

"Hey, are you alright?" Raph kneeled next to (Y/n) and stared deeply into her eyes, and she stared back.

At first (Y/n) nodded, but quickly she began furiously shaking her head 'no' as tears began spilling down her cheeks.

"Come here," Raph said softly, pulling her into a reassuring hug.

(Y/n) burried her head in his shoulder and sobbed for a few minutes, Raph continuously whispering encouraging words into her ear and rubbed her back until she calmed down.

Leo felt a twinge of jealousy as he watched his brother comfort (Y/n), wishing it were him instead.

"Man, ive never seen Raph like this," Donnie whispered to Mickey, just loud enough for Leo to hear.

"We should make camp, the sun is already starting to set," Leo pointed at the horizon where, sure enough, the sky had already began turning pink. Looking for any excuse to break Raph and (Y/n) apart.

"We can set up camp a few miles north, away from this place, and head home in the morning."

Everyone nodded and began to make their journey, Raph walked with his arm over (Y/n)'s shoulder, keeping her close and talking quietly to one another. Donnie walked next to Leo, dressing his wounds best he could while they were on the move, and Mickey, being Mickey, journeyed up a bit ahead of everyone, despite his swelled eye and twisted ankle.

Eventually the teens found a perfect place for camp and immediately began setting up tents and such.

Just as the dark had set in, everything had been set up and assembled.
