Third Persons POV
"Is that..." Mickey whispers, exchanging worried looks with April and Raph.
"Leo you idiot get outta there!" Raph screamed, pushing himself up to the door and beginning to pull the door open. He had just cracked it open when the beast shot out it's arm and slammed it shut.
"NO!!" (Y/n) yelled, kicking at the door, grabbing whatever she could get har hands on (which turned out to be a shovel) and started hammering against the door. The turtles, April, and Casey stepped out of (y/n)s way as she hacked at the door until it gave way and shattered like glass, littering the floor with wood chips. The scene before the group of teens was mass chaos:
Leaves were blowing every which way due to the powerful winds that continuously pressed against the almost bare trees. It had started raining, and was now beating against the muddy ground harshly. Lightning flashed every once in a while, giving life to the shadows of the beast that stood before their fallen brother who leaned against his beloved blades for support. It took every bit of will power to hold themselves back from running out and protecting their brother, in fear of jeopardizing their only chance to take out this monster once and for all.
With the wind howling in their ears, it was tough to hear one another, even when yelling. So when Donnie had eventually put together a plan, he resulted in doing his best to act out what the others presumed was his master plan. After three failed attempts, everyone understood their part and took their places.
At this moment Leo was sprawled out by a large tree, his knee aching miserably, and his weapons just out of reach. Everyone glanced at each other and nodded, at least they think they were looking at each other. For all they could see, it could have just as well been vegetation. Luckily, they all jumped in at the same time just as Leo was being gripped by the ugly beasts slimy claws and lifted into the air.
"HEY! UGLY!" Mickey yelled from its left, just audible enough that the thing turned toward Mickey, averting his attention at just the right time for Raph and Donnie to run up from the right and run a metal hay fork through its head.
With a quiet grunt of surprise the mutated clump of moss fell to the ground, bright green goo oozing out of its head, back into the ground.
Before the problem could get worse, Donnie ran up and pulled a flask from his satchel and caught whatever was left of the mutagen running through the beasts veins until the steady stream turned into a slow drip. Satisfied, Donnie strapped a lid onto the flask and shoved it back into his bag.
By now the wind had slowed and the rain had decreased to a steady drizzle, making it a bit easier for the group to move around and speak to one another.
"Leo!" (Y/n) yelled, running up to his side, lifting his arm over her shoulder and raising him to his feet. Wincing as weight settled once again on his leg, Leo smiled gratefully at his brothers and friends, not yet seeing (y/n)s new feature along the left side of her body due to the lack of light.
"Thanks" he whispered to the group, receiving soft smiles and hugs in return.
"Let's get home." Mickey suggested, rubbing his shoulder as if it would rub the bruise he had developed right off. Raph nodded in agreement and grabbed Leo's other arm, wrapping it around his neck. April smiled, grabbing Leo's katanas generously and following her friends back to the cabin.
Time skip 30 minutes after everyone is at the farmhouse
Once they finally reached the farmhouse, everyone dropped on the couch (or at least somewhere near) in exhaustion. It had been a long night for everyone; (y/n)s disappearance, the beast, being captured, (y/n)s secret, saving Leo, the list goes on. All the poor teens wanted to do was relax and sleep, but they knew now more than ever they had to keep their guard up. Especially with mutants jumping out of the forest now.
