Back at the farmhouse
No one had the energy to be up and about at this hour, but at the same time no one wanted to go to bed.
All of the turtles, april, Casey, and Karai sat in the living room, sprawled out over all the furniture in the most uncomfortable positions, but they didn't seem to mind.
The glass and robots had been pushed to the outer edges of the room, left to be delt with sometime in the distant future.
Other things, such as the framed picture of the turtles and their sensei, had been destroyed in the catastrophe. The only thing they managed to surface from the wreckage undamaged was a small folded picture of a small family, unrecognizable to the turtles. So they decided to keep it hidden in one of their rooms, weirdly unable to bring themselves to get rid of it.
"Mickey, if you keep holding your breath like that, you are going to pass out." Donnie grumbled, laying his head in his hands and glaring at his younger brother who, in his boredom, had begun a contest with himself to see how long he could hold his breath.
"Wouldn't that be a relief" Raph snapped, rolling is eyes and unfolding his legs. Mickey sighs, then rolls onto his feet swiftly and silently.
"I'm tired of sitting here! Can't we do something? I mean, I know things look bad, but--"
"Mickey" Leo warned, wincing as he rubbed his drooping eyelids. Mickey opened his mouth to speak again, but closed it when seeing the look April had given him, and sat back down.
"So, that girl... did you know her?" Karai spoke up after a couple seconds of silence passed, speaking carefully and softly. Leo smiled softly and looked over at Raph, who sat next to him.
"Yea, we knew her. She has been staying here with us since we left New York after the Kraang invasion. She has been, uh, taking care of us. Without her..." Leo sighed thoughtfully,
"We would have been captured. Probably dead right now." Raph frowned, sitting up and crossing his arms.
Karai frowned as well, leaning back into her chair, embracing it's comfort.
"So she was your...?" She gestured towards Leo and Raph direction, making them both blush.
"Nononono!" They both yell, assuring her that they were not in a relationship with (y/n). Karai nodded, a flash of jealousy flashed across her face before being masked once more with curiosity.
Raph looked over at Leo, who was silently grinning to himself, and felt a ping of jealousy as well. Was there anything going on between him and (y/n)? Could his brother really be that selfish?
A new sense of anger flooded through Raph, making him pounce to his feet unexpectedly.
"We shouldn't be just sitting here, we should be out there, infiltrating Shredders lair or something!" Raph yelled, mostly at Leo, who groaned and sat up, slowly.
" Raph, you heard Karai, she's gone. Plus, last time we were in New York..." Donnie spoke on Leos behalf, creasing his eyebrows and rubbing his own palms with his thumbs.
"Two hours ago she," Raph pointed his finger at Karai, making her jump, "was missing, dead even!" Leo arched his eyebrows and opened his mouth to argue, but realized, his brother may be right.
"No need to put so much pressure on Karai. She only just arrived, she couldn't have done anything to change what happened to (y/n). But if she is right, and (y/n) is.... gone. Then we should do everything in our power to avenge her." Leo stared absently at the ground, contemplating the words he had just said as if they were foriegn to his ears. Raph let his arms fall against his sides, slowly calming himself down to were he just about crumbles to the ground, but catches himself and drops to the couch instead.
"So what should we do then, o-fearless one?" Raph glances at Leo, no more hate or anger in his eyes, but sadness and loss.
"How about we go kick some robot butt?" Casey jumps in, jumping to his feet. Overwhelmed by the sudden rush of excitement in the room, Mickey jumps to his feet as well, a huge smile plastered on his face. April laughs a little bit, but joins Casey and Mickey.
A sudden wave of jealousy passes over Donnie, giving him the sudden urge to lurch to his feet and join April with the group of overexcited teens, specifically between Casey and April. Leo and Raph laugh, then all goes quiet, all eyes are on the three who have yet to commit to the dangerous mission. Without a second though, Raph stands to his feet, earning a couple cheers from Mickey and Casey. Then Leo stands, slowly and shakily, but nonetheless. Everyone cheers, closing tightly into a group hug.
"Karai?" Mickey asks, pulling from the hug and begins moving towards the fantom who sat in the dull, grey reading chair in the corner of the room.
"We need all the help we can get." Leo smiled, offering his hand towards Karai, even though he could barely hold himself up. Karai stared at his hand for a moment,
"You do know this is a suicide mission, right? Shredder will be expecting you to come." She snaps, frowning slightly. Raph steps forward and breathes heavily,
"Isn't he always." Karai thinks for a moment, then accepts Leo's hand, careful as to not hurt him. Mickey begins cheering once more, clapping Karai on the back and pulling her into the hug.
For a few minutes the group of teens stand together, embracing the fact they have each other in their grasps once more, embracing a moment where they could relax and just have the support of each other.
And just like that, the moment ended.
Now was time to plan their attack.
(Y/n) POV
I woke up in a different room, no idea how much time had passed or if I was even in the same building anymore. What I did know was it was warm, unnaturally warm.
Usually, when I hear stories of kidnappings or being kept prisoner in enemy terrain, the cell is supposed to be cold and dark. This cell was extremely dark, but it was anything but cold. In fact, it took me at least a minute in a half to recognize my own hand one foot in front of my face.
I sudden wave of realization crashed over me at once, twisting my stomach into knots. I realized where I was, and how I got here. The turtles. The Shredder. The Kraang. That.... girl.
I've never seen her before, but she sure didn't like me, or the general guy. But she didn't quite help me out either. I don't remember much, as I was half unconscious at the time, but I do remember her...
And how she helped drag me away
