Autumn, Justin and the gang enjoyed their last two days in Dubai enjoying the yacht they had and being out on the water. It was relaxing for the guys and it was relaxing for the girls as well and the kids had a blast. They woke up early that morning and headed to the plane. Once everyone was on and they were cleared they took off.
"So its a five hour flight to Maldives." Sid says.
"Yeah and since the kids are still sleeping we should too." Kris replies.
"Yeah that is a good idea." Jake replies.
"Yes it is." Justin says.
"Then we nap when land till wake up then go and do things." Geno says.
They all nod their heads in agreement. The girls settle the kids down. Justin and Autumn head back to a room. They climb in bed. They snuggle together and fall asleep pretty quickly.
Five hours later they both wake up when they were landing.
"I am so happy to be here." Autumn says.
"Me too. It is going to be fun." Justin replies.
They both get up and get dressed. They then head out to the main part. Everyone meets there. They land and everyone gets off the plane. The guys had the luggage and the girls had the kids. They get onto the boat that was waiting for them. They boat takes them to their villa for the next few days. They go inside. The kids were still sleeping so they settle them.
"We can make our fort later after we explore a big." Taylor says.
"That sounds good." Nadia says."We only have a few more hours until they will be up so we should make use of it." Autumn says.
"She is right. See ya guys in a few. "Madison says.
"Yes see you." Anna says.
Justin and Autumn head to their room. Justin wheels the luggage in. They then climb into bed. Jake and Taylor fall back a sleep.
A few hours later they wake up when the alarm went off. They both get up and get ready. They then head back to the living room meeting everyone there. The girls get the kids up, dressed and ready to go. While they were doing that they make a brunch with some of the food that was stocked for them. When they finished they sit down and eat. Once everyone was finished and the food was cleaned up they head out on their first tour. The tour starts with an overview of Male and the harbour area, a very important aspect of any island nation. Passing by the oldest school in the city, learn about the education system and why the Maldives has a 98% literacy rate. Visit Hukuru Miskiiy - Old Friday Mosque and the tomb of Abu -al - Barakaath and learn why the Maldives converted to Islam and how the Islamic faith underpins everyday life. They then stop for a refreshing cup of traditional black tea at Royal Garden Café, a popular spot for locals. Housed in a rare example of a 'ganduvaru' a nobleman's house, it provides a great example of traditional dark carved wood interiors. They also grabbed a little snack to eat.
"This is pretty cool so far." Kris says.
"Yes it is so nice hear and its fun to learn about the culture of the place." Justin says.
"I agree." Sid says.
"Me too. I love learning new things about different places." Jake says.
"Me too." Geno says.
They continue on stopping at the November 3rd Memorial, hear the story of how 8 brave military servicemen died in the protection of their country from a terrorist attack in 1988. Wander through Sultan Park, a reference to the time the Maldives was governed by a sultanate with an optional visit to the National Museum.
