The next morning Justin and Autumn woke up when the alarm went off.
"Practice baby?" Autumn asks.
"Yes." Justin replies.
"Okay, then Micah and Olivia have their first game with the little penguins." Autumn ays.
"I know baby. "Justin says.
"Okay." Autumn says
They both get up and get dressed. They then head down to the game room. Everyone meets there. Olivia and Micah were both awake, dressed and ready.
"The rest of the kids are going to stay home with the parents." Jake says.
"Yeah since we have to be there so early. " Justin says.
"They will bring them to the game later." Sid says.
"Sound good." Geno says.
"Yeah works for me." Kris says.
They all head out to the car and head to the practice facility. They park and head inside. Kris and the boys head to the locker room. Micah and Olivia head to get ready as well. Madison and the girls head to sit and watch practice. Not long after Sarah joins them.
"So it looks like team one is going to be our roster this year." Nadia says.
"Yeah pretty much." Taylor says.
"So they practice second." Autumn says.
"Yes they do." Anna says.
"That should be fun. "Madison says.
"Yeah it will be. "Sarah says.
Finally team 3 finished and it was time for team 1 to practice. The boys head out onto the ice.
"Oh Sarah I feel sorry for your hubby." Taylor says.
"Why?" Sarah asks.
"He is being paired with Johnson. "Autumn says.
"Yeah that is bad." Anna says.
"Yes it is. Poor Guddy. "Nadia says.
"I feel sorry for him too." Madison says
The boys looked sharp out on the ice. They had a good practice. The girls were glad. Team one finished and team two took over. Not long after practice ended. They then got ready for the game. The guys bring food with them and the parents all showed up with the kids. They sit and wait. Not long after the game started. Not long into the first Micah went down and scored.
"Damn that was awesome. "Jake says.
"He looks good but then again its in his blood." Justin says.
"Yes is." Geno says.
"Yeah well he learns from the best." Sid says,
"This is true." Kris says.
The game continues on and Micah scored another goal.
"That is my son." Madison says.
"Yes he is my nephew." Nadia says.
"He looks very good." Autumn says .
"Yes he does." Anna says,
"I agree." Taylor says.
The first period ended and after a brief intermission the second period stared.
"Micah just needs one more goal to get a hat trick." Autumn says.'
" Yes he does.' Nadia says.
"I hope he gets it." Madison says.
"He will." Anna replies.
"Specially if he is anything like his dad or uncles." Taylor says.
"I hope he gets it too." Sarah says.
"Thanks for staying to watch." The other girls say.
"Well Erik and I wanted to see the future stars." Sarah replies.
"Yeah we did they look sharp." Erick says.
That was when Micah score his third goal by batting the puck out of the air sensing it straight into the net.
"Hat trick baby." Nadia says.
"Damn that was an amazing he learned that from me." Sid says proudly.
"That's my son." Madison says.
"My son just got a hat trick." Kris says.
"With a Sidney Crosby type goal." Justin says.
"Yes it was awesome." Autumn replies
"Mini Sid." Geno says.
"Yup." Anna says.
"Well he did learn from the best. But how about Olivia out there stopping goals left and right." Taylor says.
"They both are playing amazing." Jake says.
They all tossed hats out onto the ice. The second period ended with the Little Penguins winning 3-0. The boys go get more food during intermission and bring it back just as the third was about to start. They watch the period as they eat. The equipment man bought Madison and Kris the puck to give to Micah.
"These kids are amazing." Sarah says.
"The future of our sport." Erick says.
"Yup the future looks bright." The gang all says
The game ends with the little penguins winning 3-o. Not only did Micah get a hat trick but Olivia got her first shut out. It was amazing. They all wait for the kids to come out. A little bit later Micah and Olivia come out holding hands.
"Congrats on the hat trick Micah and the Shut out Olivia." They all say.
"Thanks mom and dad and everyone." Micah says.
"Yes thanks mom and dad and everyone." Olivia replies.
They let them pick where they went for a late lunch. They picked Saga so they took them there. The parents had bought the rest of the kids to the game so they saw it. They were happy for both Micah and Olivia. They head back to the house. They get everything set up and do school work with the kids. When that was finish they had a snack and watched movies until it was bedtime. They then tucked them all into their fort. They went down easy. They adults decided to call it a night as well. They had practice and skate for those playing in the second pre season game. Jake and Taylor head to their room. They get ready for bed and climb in.
"It was like watching Micah and Olivia play and have good games." Autumn says.
"I know. Its nice watching the stars of or future play. Besides Micah and Olivia come from hockey families. Its in their blood." Justin says.
"I know and if you think about it not only are Micah and Olivia Kris and Sid's kids but they also have three amazing uncles in you, Jake and Geno as well as an amazing aunt in Taylor that teaches them everything they know." Autumn says.
"This is so true." Justin says kissing her head.
"I know." Autumn says.
They snuggle together falling asleep.
