The next morning Autumn and Justin woke up when the alarm went off. Justin kisses her head.
"I have practice baby." Justin replies.
"I know and I am coming with you cus I want to check on Sid." Autumn says.
"I know baby." Justin asks.
"I mean I know Nadia says he is fine. That nothing is broken. But I want too see him skate on his own." Autumn says.
"I know baby." Justin replies.
"And I need to find out what is up with Rusty." Autumn says.
"I know that was a wicked shot he took in the hand." Justin replies.
"Yeah I know. I haven't seen the reports or anything but I know Rusty's injury is more severe. I have a strong feeling it is broke for sure." Autumn says.
"Damn you are probably right." Justin replies.
They both get up and get dressed. .lThey then head downstairs. The kids were still sleeping and they were going to let them. Everyone meets down there. Sid was limping slightly.
"How is your foot?" Madison asks.
"It feels good. Nadia took good care of me last night. She had it propped up and ice on and off." Sid says.
"That is good. Did the swelling come down?" Taylor asks.
"Yes and nothing is broken. Just bruised." Sid says.
"Praise the Lord." Justin says.
"Yes thank god. We need you Thursday." Jake says.
"Yes do." Geno says.
"Yes I am happy its not serious." Autumn says.
"I am as well." Anna says.
"Thanks guys I am glad too. I hate having him hurt." Nadia says.
Since the kids were still sleeping they left them home with Ruth and Claude except for Micah and Olivia who had practice. They all get into the car and head to the arena. They arrive and head inside. Jake and the boys head to the locker room.
"I will be back guys. You go get seats." Madison says.
Taylor, Autumn and Anna head to get seats.
"I am glad that Sid is okay." Autumn says.
"Me too but it's sucks we lost Rusty too." Taylor says.
"Yeah I know. Wish we knew how long." Anna says.
"Probably 4-6 weeks maybe longer cus it's definitely broken." Taylor replies.
"Yeah and that depends on if he needs surgery." Autumn says.
Nadia joins the girls. That was when they watched Sid head out to the ice. Sid was the only player out there and he had no gear on. A few minutes later he brings it on in. Madison was standing there waiting. They talk a few minutes and then he heads back to the locker room. Madison comes over to where the girls were sitting.
"How is Sid." Nadia asks.
"He skated but I am making him rest it for a bit before we Thursday." Madison says.
They girls nod. Practice starts . A little bit later it ends and the girls go and wait for the boys. They come out a little bit later and they head back to Madison and Kris's. They head inside. The kids were up and Ruth had just finished lunch. They were having homemade pizza. When it was finished they sat down and ate . When the finished the boys cleaned up. The girls went and did school with the kids. When they finished they laid them all down for a much needed nap.
"Okay let's get the Halloween decorations out start decorating." Madison says.
"That will be fun." Nadia says.
"Yes it will be." Autumn says.'
"The kids will have fun with it too." Taylor says.
"Yes they will." Anna says.
They guys went and bought the boxes with the decorations in and placed them on the floor. The girls went through them sorting them into different piles one for inside and one for outside.
"We will go out and do the outside." Justin says.
"Yeah I will help." Jake says.
"So I will." Geno replies.
"Let's go." Kris says.
" I will help you guys since I'm the only one not pregnant." Taylor replies.
"Aww thanks Tay. But before you guys and Tay head out I have an idea." Madison says.
"Ohhh what is it?" Autumn asks.
"I think we should build a haunted house." Madison says.
"Oh that will be fun and awesome." Sid says.
"Yes and the team can work it." Nadia replies.
"Oh yeah and we can charge a small fee." Kris says.
"Yeah and all the money we make can go to the Penguins foundation." Anna says.
"That is a good idea." Taylor says.
"I like it I'll work it." Jake says.
"Yes I too." Geno says.
They all nodded their heads. The guys and Tay then head out and hang the Halloween decorations outside. They then run to the mall and get the materials needed to build the haunted house. When they came back they started working. The girls and Sid hung up the decorations inside. When they finished Madison's house was spooktacular looking. The kids woke from their naps and decorated their fort. Nadia and Anna make dinner. The guys and Taylor finally come in just as it was done.
"Haunted house is done." Kris says.
"Yes it is." Geno says.
"Yes it is and it's going to be freaking awesome." Jake says.
"Yes it is going to be." Justin replies.
"I can only imagine." Sid says.
"Thanks guys I can't wait to see it. Dinner is ready." Madison says.
They head to wash up. When they come down they sit and eat. Nadia and Anna made meat loaf, macaroni and cheese and brussel sprouts. After they eat they watch Halloween movies with the kids until it was time for bed. The girls then tuck them all into their fort. The adults were still tired from their back to back busy days so they decide to call it a night. Autumn and Justin head up to their room. Then both of them get changed and climb into bed.
"You guys did a good job on the inside of the house. It looks really spooky and cool. I love what y'all did with the kids fort." Justin says.
"Thanks I love Halloween it's one of my favorite holidays. And I think we all did well on both. The kids did the fort themselves." Autumn says.
"Oh wow they did awesome too." Justin says.
"Get some sleep okay baby." Autumn says.
"You too." Justin says.
They make love a few times before falling asleep.
