Because I will be absent on this upcoming Saturday, Sunday, And Possibly Monday Days Eight, Nine, And Ten will be published today.

Thank you for understanding.

Iris was a new transfer student from this year that had met Tyrome and Phoenix and classes. They lived a bit far away, but didn't have any other friends so they'd ride their bike seven blocks to get to hang out with them. Their visits were very infrequent and would continue to be since Iris has several younger siblings to take care of, as well as a job to maintain to help for college this upcoming semester. Today was one of those lucky break days they could spend with their friends.

"Hey, Iris. You said your pronouns are they/them when we met, but you never said your specific identity? Do you mind telling us or would you rather keep that private?"

Wow, that was literally out of nowhere! Tyrome was hanging down from the tree he had climbed, Iris and Phoenix safe at the bottom. Both were too chicken to climb it with him when he offered. Iris never really revealed their gender identity to people, afraid they'd tease or hurt them like they normally do when they just say their pronouns. But... Phoenix and Tyrome are different. They're nice. They can open up... right?

"Oh, uh... I'm Agender. I don't really have a gender so..."

That was very awkward, so Iris just laughed it off at the end there. They never really felt the need to change their name. They already respond to it and they really like flowers, so why change it? Phoenix nodded slowly, understanding. He actually muttered stuff under his breath.

"Kind Of like the opposite of Aia and Mochi... And a lot like Viri. But not exactly Viri because Viri just doesn't associate with the binary genders but has one. Basically Asexual but for gender... okay that makes sense."

Phoenix always voices through his thought process, which made it easy to be rest assured that he wouldn't judge you. The one you had to worry about was Tyrome. He's a really happy go lucky guy, but he can get pretty harsh when he hates you and judgemental when someone goes against his strong opinion on what to him is simply 'right' and 'wrong'. Tyrome curled back up and jumped down from the tree, landing at Phoenix's other side and holding his hand in his own.

"Okay, thank you for being open with us! I'm Pan and a Boy, and Phoenix is Gay and a boy too. We thought since we're all friends we should be able to know eachother and support eachother."

That's really sweet and brought a wide smile to Iris's face. They leaned back against the tree, happy for a wholesome moment like this. It's not every day you get amazing friends like them. Treasure those friends who accept you for who you are, Reader, because you'll rarely again meet someone who looks past all your quirks and still loves you.
