Chpt 17: Maybe It's Mutual, Maybe It's Just Arthur's Preheat

Sorry for not posting last weekend and posting so late today even though I planned on changing when I post to Friday. I blame the DPS Office and a lack of motivation on my own part. We'll say every Friday/Saturday. I'm going to post two more chapters at some point this week. I'd been planning to upload this chapter (chapter 17) last Saturday and then earlier in the week, but got distracted. Why did I get distracted? What was I doing?

Alfred smiled at that and took Arthur's hand as he stood. "You wanted something sexy for tonight, let's go get you some lingerie."

"What styles do you like? What would I look good in?"

"Why don't we go find out?" Alfred offered as he picked Arthur up in his arms again, gathered their stuff, and walked back into the store before leaving the said store.

Arthur nodded and hid away in Alfred's arms, feeling safe and warm. "Do you have any ideas, alpha? Something that barely covers me or has lots of ribbons and undoes? Maybe something more like a babydoll top or some kinky dress up thing?"

"I think you would good in a babydoll top. Something frilly and loose so you feel nice and comfortable."

Arthur purred softly. "Would you lay me down and treat me like a little doll then? Or be a bit more rough with me? I know you won't make me uncomfortable, I trust you." He blushed hard when he realized what he had said.

Alfred nuzzled Arthur sweetly. "Someone's a lot more honest when in preheat," he whispered as they walked over to his favorite store to get male omegas lingerie from. "And I'd do whatever I felt my baby needed from me. Right now I'd treat you gently and pamper you beyond belief~."

Arthur purred again at this, still bright red. "I knew you would take care of me. What a perfect gentleman you are." He praised and smiled up at him, "Now why don't you put me down since you've been carrying me all day and we can walk around and see what looks nice?"

Alfred nodded and set Arthur down once they walked into the store. The room had a neutral scent in the way of alpha or omega pheromones, but besides that smelled nice and floral like a soft and fresh spring garden.

A female beta sales rep greeted the from where she was adjusting the mannequins on display. "Hello Alfred," the brunette greeted. "Did you bring a client to try lingerie on again or have you finally found a cute little omega to settle down with?" She teased.

Arthur blushed and hid his face in Alfred's arm, his heart sinking a bit at the reminder Alfred wasn't only his. "I guess you come here a lot then, huh?" He mumbled into his arm.

"I come to the mall a lot in general," Alfred agreed as he pet Arthur's hair sweetly. "But I don't come here nearly as often as she makes it sound. You're only the fourth omega I've brought here since starting this job and it's not like I'm suggesting all the same stuff to them."

The woman nodded in agreement. "You by far fit him best of the omegas he's brought here," she complimented.

Arthur smiled at the beta and held his had out for her to shake, "Thank you, ma'am. My name is Arthur. It's nice to meet someone Alfred knows." He replied kindly, still holding onto Alfred a bit but mostly detaching.

The woman shook his hand. "Would you mind if I helped you two look around and choose something you'll like?"

"If that's okay with you and Alfie, I don't mind. It's not like I feel like most of this would look good on me. If you ask Alfred I'm sure he'd insist that it's just my lack of self-confidence and that I'd look perfectly fine in any of this." Arthur said, meaning to tease Alfred and failing horribly.

Alfred shrugged, "I would say that because it's true," he agreed.

The woman giggled at that. "What sort of thing we're we looking for today."

"Soft stuff," Alfred replied. "Lingerie that's light and flowy like babydoll tops. Also some sheer sort of see-through stuff."

Arthur blushed softly, "I'll put on just about anything you ask for." He smiled softly.

"You've certainly got this one wrapped around your little finger, Alfred."

Alfred chuckled at that, "Perhaps, but he's got me there as well."

Arthur rolled his eyes and laughed softly. "Oh please, Alfred. How could I have you wrapped around my finger? Just because you went all 'do you know how my dad is' on my ex-boss doesn't mean much. You're just exceedingly kind." Arthur explained.

"I'm already far more attached to you than you realize, sweetheart."

The woman chuckled at that as she came up to some babydoll tops. "See anything you like?"

Arthur raised an eyebrow at Alfred, "What's that supposed to mean, alpha?" He asked softly, blushing as he turned back to the beta. "I definitely think I'd be comfortable in them, but as far as color and style one of you will have to help me."

The beta nodded while Alfred just nuzzled Arthur sweetly. "I think you'd look good in blue."

The sales rep picked up a blue babydoll top that was more of a small robin's egg blue velvet bra with a sheer fabric draping down in the babydoll style before ending in a strip of Robin's egg blue fluff. The panties were a matching blue velvet to the bra. "How about this one?"

Arthur blushed and took it, holding it up to himself, "Don't you think this is a little too angelic and delicate for me? I don't think it would look right on me." He said and looked up at Alfred, "It really is beautiful though. Maybe I could try it on?" He blushed hard, "I'd just hate to buy something only to find out I don't suit it is all," he defended.

"You'll suit it beautifully, baby. It's sort of angelic, but I think the blue helps with that. If very soft and sweet. I think it fits you. Not everything we get will be like this, but I want you to have something to wear when you feel all soft and gooey and are melting in my arms~." Alfred gently teased as he nipped softly at Arthur's ear while holding him from behind.

Arthur completely melted in Alfred's arms. "Okay alpha, anything you say." He purred and nuzzled up into his neck. "I guess I would look good like that, soft and delicate, wrapped up in my alpha's arms... Now I've just got to find my way to an alpha who holds me as sweetly and protectively as you."

Alfred nodded, ignoring the pain in his chest at the idea of another alpha holding Arthur.

Arthur, being in observant in nature, nuzzled Alfred, "What is it, love? Did I say something negative and upset you again?" He whispered almost hopefully.

Alfred shook his head and nuzzled Arthur sweetly, "Just feeling a bit possessive. It's probably due to your preheat is all."

The sales rep went around suggesting other lingerie outfits, some of which they choose to have Arthur try on and others they passed up.

Arthur felt his heart speed up a bit before immediately falling at the way Alfred seemed to brush it off as being due to alpha and omega nature. "Right, of course. My pill and patches must not be working then, I'll take the other half with lunch." He said softly so as not to disrupt their shopping.
