~Chapter 40~

-ZACH'S P.O.V.-

It's been two weeks and we haven't heard anything from Jonah, I'm sure everything is okay, but everything here isn't. Gabbie wasn't able to detain Xavier for a long time before he over came her. Luckily the ancestors came on time and held out but it didn't turn out good, one of them passed away. Xavier and the girl were able to get away before we got them. As for us we were left with injuries but Gabbie, she suffered the most, she couldn't hold on and passed away. Jack became close to her and took it the hardest out of all of us.

"Zach, come on we should get going" I looked at Kay as she smiled at me.

"Maybe if we were stronger we could have saved her"

"We couldn't"

"I know, but it hurts knowing what Jack is going through, I can't imagine being in his shoes. I can't imagine what it would be to loose you"

She walked towards me hugging me. I wrapped my arms around her making sure not to let her go.

"As long as we're together then everything will be okay"

"I love you Kay"

"I love you too Zach"

-DANIEL'S P.O.V.-

"How many"

"Ten"

"Ten?!"

"Most were grownups but there were four kids"

I punched the wall as I walked out of the room. Ever since Xavier escapesd there have been more deaths around us. Including our own kind, werewolves.

"Something happened"

I walked out to the living room seeing the ancestor on the front door.

"What is it?"

"Katherine, she used her magic. Xavier found them"

"What?!"

Zach and Kay were here.

"The spell I had casted to protect them was broken earlier today. I went and checked if everything was okay and found Xavier's men guarding the perimeters. He found them"

"We have to go"

"You can't, you won't be able to stop him"

"That doesn't matter but we can't let him get Jonah and Katherine"

I looked at Zach and Corbyn, we know what we have to do.

"What are we going to do"

"Fight, but he can't have them, he took someone from us already and we can't let him take anyone else"

I turned around and saw Jack stepping through the door. We haven't seen him since the day Gabbie passed away.

"Okay, let's get ready"

-KATHERINE'S P.O.V.-

"You won't win"

"What makes you think that"

"I can control you Katherine, one small move and I'll be back"

"I won't let that happen"

"It happened once, what makes you think it won't happen again"

"Because I'll make sure to destroy you when the time comes"

"Let's just make sure Xavier won't destroy you"

I watched as she smirked at me before walking away. She has what it takes to destroy me, after all me and her are the same.
