( Shane's P.O.V.)

" I know some of you aren't fond of me, I sure as hell not, but I do deserve to speak on behalf of these wonderful people. Amy always had something to say, that one thing I loved about her, everyone loved about her. When we were all shaken up...or preoccupied...or plain scared...she said something. She made us laugh...lightened up the mood...no matter what. I do deeply wish none of them died, especially her."

Dana was no were to be found.

" They didn't deserve this, no one does." Carl said.

We all took Amy's death hard but had no other choice but to push on. When Dani and Daryl came back, we headed out, getting farther and farther away from Atlanta.

Finding the road in front of us blocked due to supply filled cars, we sorted through them and stalked up, taking the gas, and even finding a horse trailer for Lucky.

Right as we were going to move out, Dale yelled out that their's a herd coming.

Everyone hid well and the herd passed. Sophia peeked her head out first and found a stray walker, which was dealt with by Dani. She still doesn't trust Lori, especially with the kids.

Afterward, Rick, Carl, Daryl and I went hunting, while Lori, Carol, Andrea, Dani, and Carl went scouting for a new place to stay.

There was a light snowstorm today.

When we met up a few hours later, Carl told us that they found a church.

I shared a glance with Lucy.

"  It's OK. It's not like it matters these days."

We took shelter in the church and managed to last out the largest winter storm anyone has ever seen.

After a few weeks, the sun was out and the temperature was a hundred degrees. Water was everywhere, we were thankful that the church was on a hill.

We finally got a chance to mourn the people we lost, and afterward, when the weather let up on us, Carl, Rick and I went hunting again, hoping to still get something.

But what we received was far from what we expected.

Carl was shot. A bullet passed through the deer he was aiming for, and hit him on the top of his stomach.

I almost beat the shit out of the fat fuck, but Carl came first. The man who caused this shit storm said he had a doctor back with his family.

We took off, Otis - the man- far behind us.

We were welcomed by Otis's family. They were all standing on the house's porch, looking at us.

" Was he bit?" The oldest one in the group asked.

" Shot, by your man." Rick said as I turned to see Otis slowly making his way towards us.

" Otis?" A women asked, stepping off of the porch.

" He said find Hershel. Is that you?"

Hershel nodded, and Rick went inside with Carl, vanishing from my sight for a few minutes.

He came back outside a few minutes later, blood covered his shirt, his hands, he was a mess.

I sat him down on the porch and washed the blood off of his skin.

God, I felt terrible for him.

" I should have known this was going happen." Rick said after he calmed down.

" This is not on you. You were shot, and he will get through this."

Rick was quiet for a moment. " Rick?"
