August 16th 1991

Hi. My name is Regina Weasley and I'm the twin sister of Ron Weasley, daughter of Arthur and Molly Weasley. Currently its the summer holidays and in September, I finally start Hogwarts, the wizarding school that all of my brothers go to. My parents gave me this diary to write in over the course of the year because they know how passionate I am about writing. I'm kind of the black sheep in my family. I mean all of my siblings are huge on the whole Quidditch thing except my brother Percy, but he's a bit of a pompous douche if I'm being honest. Go away, Ron! God, my stupid twin brother was reading over my shoulder as I wrote and he burst out laughing at what I said about Percy. Anyway, my little sister Ginny is the only one I really talk to. I mean, apart from my mum she's the only other girl in my house but she still tries really hard to fit in with my brothers whereas I prefer to stay at home with a book. I'm like my father in the sense that I prefer muggle books to wizard books. I mean most wizard books are fact and I just love to lose myself in the worlds that muggles create for themselves. Dad always manages to sneak some books from the muggle world for me. My room is filled with shelves of muggle books that I must have read three times over. My favourite is Black Beauty. Its an amazing story and so beautifully written. I feel as though I could recite the entire book by heart at this point. Mum is calling us down for dinner now but I promise to write again soon. X

September 1st, 1991

I'm currently sat in my common room after arriving at Hogwarts for the first time. Oh, diary, today was so eventful, I couldn't even begin to describe it! But I will try for your sake. It started bright and early this morning with my mother in my room, gently shaking me awake. "Wakey, wakey, sweetheart," my mother spoke in a quiet voice. "It's your first day of school today. Now get up and dressed while I get some breakfast made." She left my room and with shaking legs I stood and got dressed. My heart was pounding in my chest. I was terrified for my first day of school. Anyway, I got dressed and ran downstairs at top speed only to hurtle full speed into Percy.

"Gina! I do wish you'd watch where you're going! You almost knocked my books flying."

"I'm sorry Percy. I'm just so excited for today! I can't wait to see the Gryffindor common room. Fred and George always tell me how cosy it is." Percy rolled his eyes.

"The common room isn't for relaxing it's for homework and such."

"Yes, that's why they decided to put armchairs and a fireplace in there. To remind people they aren't allowed to relax." Percy's cheeks darkened.

"Sarcasm will not pass at Hogwarts, little sister." With that, Percy flounced off to his room. I took a deep breath and continued my way to the kitchen, this diary clutched in my hands.

"Mmmm, mum it smells amazing!" I said as I sat down.

"Thank you, dear. RONALD!" She yelled. "GET DOWN THIS INSTANT OTHERWISE THERE WILL BE NO BREAKFAST LEFT. AND BRING YOUR BROTHERS DOWN AS WELL." Ginny entered at that point and joined mum and me at the table. "Right dear, you have your bag all packed yes? All your books, academic and your... other ones."

"Yes. Mum, you need to stop worrying, we'll be fine! Well, I will and you know I'll always be there looking out for Ron."

"Of course I do. It's just, the house will be so quiet with all of you off except me and your sister."   All of a sudden, Ron burst into the room.

"Where's Scabbers?" He demanded. Scabbers is Ron's rat, he's had him since forever and Percy had him before that.

"I don't know dear. Have you checked his cage?" Mum said in an irritated voice.

"No mum. His cage isn't in my room. I don't know where it is." Mum's face turned an alarming shade of red.

"FRED! GEORGE! You get down here right now." My two brothers appeared at the door, peering their heads around.
