Dinner with the Weasleys

After a long rant from mum about Fred and George and a lot of yelling at us to help, eventually the two tables were set for dinner. Percy sat at one end, loudly discussing whatever boring ministry work he'd been up to in his room, while Fred, George and I were at the opposite end, rolling our eyes.

Harry sat beside me, Ginn beside him and Ron and Hermione opposite us. Mainly, we 4 listened to the conversation, rather than join in.

When everyone else was huddled in their conversations, Ron turned to Harry.

"So have you heard from Sirius this summer?" He mouthed Sirius' name as though it were Voldemort and Hermione quickly scanned to make sure no one else was listening.

"Yeah," Harry nodded. "A couple of times. I wrote back to him the day before yesterday." Hermione and Ron nodded and looked at each other. I turned to Harry. He looked as if he wanted to say something else but decided against it.

I looked him in the eyes and raised one eyebrow in question. He shook his head to say "not now" and I nodded in understanding.

He may not want to discuss it now but we will later. I worry about Harry far too often, you know. He's been through so much already, far more than most normal 14-year-olds and I knew he never wanted to be a burden so he never talked about it.

I know I shouldn't worry, I mean that's Ron and Hemione's job, right? I mean, they are his best friends and so it's their responsibility but I just can't get him out of my head.

When my brain came back into focus, mum was telling Harry to leave his school list out, in case the Quidditch World Cup went on for too long and Percy very noticeably huffed when Harry commented on wanting the match to last for 5 days.

"Well, I certainly don't," he said in his matter of fact tone. "I shudder to think what the state of my in-tray would be if I was away from work for five days!"

I snorted at him and he rolled his eyes at me.

"Prick" I muttered.

"Child," He said at the same time.

Everyone looked between the two of us as we glared at one another as if waiting for an all-out war to break out. Mum quickly sighed and hurried us off to bed while she and Dad stayed to clear the table.

As I was just settling into bed, I heard Ginny murmur to me, "You are right you know?" I sit up and look at her in question. "About the whole Percy situation." She pauses and looks around the room to make sure no one is listening although I'm not sure how they could.

I lie back down and before sleep takes me, I hear her whisper, "He is a prick."
