KAT RARELY WENT TO THE PICTURES. Usually because she couldn't afford to and didn't have the patience to sit through a whole showing. It was obvious that Bobby had never even taken a step inside such a building in his life before. His eyes were wide in awe as Kat held his hand and lead him through the building, clutching their tickets in their hands. Kat had even managed to blackmail the pair of them a bucket of popcorn each, free of charge. Truthfully Kat had nothing bad on the man and had just bluffed but as he handed over the buckets of popcorn, it was evident he had secrets to hide. She didn't care enough to find out what they were.

The pictures was relatively full for a mid afternoon showing. Usually people opted to see the evening showings for obvious reasons. Kat and Bobby sat near the back because Kat claimed it was the best place to sit. She could never understand people who sat in the front voluntarily.

The movie wasn't anything of interest to Kat, she didn't even know the name of it but she sat through it for Bobby's sake. This type of film was not of interest to him either but it was clear that he was fascinated by the way everything moved. When he asked Kat how it worked, she couldn't answer him and he didn't ask any questions after that. He did want to know why everything was in black and white when the world was full of colour though. She couldn't answer that either.

They munched through their popcorn, the butter and salt covering their fingertips but neither cared. They were midway through the movie when the doors behind them opened and a tall man stormed through them. She couldn't see who it was but saw that they sat down beside a woman a few rows in front of them. Kat lost interest in the movie on the screen and began to watch the new one starting in front of them, though she couldn't hear them. From their body language, it was clear that both felt tense.

A few moments later, the man stood up again and stormed out. Kat watched him curiously but shrugged to herself, shoveling another handful of popcorn into her mouth. This was probably the most amount of food she had eaten in days.

The movie suddenly turned off and everyone protested, including Bobby who complained that it was finally getting interesting. The man stormed back in and to her displeasure, she realized that it was Thomas Shelby.

"Get out! All of you!" Thomas roared loudly and Bobby jumped in surprise. She grabbed his hand and told him to duck down as Thomas kept yelling. "Go on! Now!"

As everyone left, Kat and Bobby stayed hidden behind the other chairs and Bobby looked at her funny. She smirked at him and whispered quietly. "The movie is about to begin."

She held a single finger to her lips and Bobby nodded, determined to remain as quiet as a mouse to impress Kat.

"I said, tell me his fucking name." Thomas snarled at who Kat now realized was Ada Shelby. Kat had a feeling she knew what this was about, she had suspected it the last time she saw Ada. The woman was unusually emotional and her breasts had inflated significantly, signs of pregnancy. She just didn't know who the father was, but she had suspicions. Rumours pointed to a certain Freddie Thorne.
