ANNOYINGLY, THOMAS SHELBY WAS A GOOD DANCER. Kat was quick to learn this as she reluctantly accepted his proposal to dance. The presence of his hand on her waist was oddly comforting as they moved to the fast paced song. Kat was enjoying it a lot more than she thought she ever could. He spun her around and she even laughed. She almost forgot that it was Thomas Shelby that she was dancing with.
One song passed into another and before she knew it, she had danced three songs with Thomas. She was starting to feel the effects of her long evening dancing as she felt forced to slow down and conveniently, a slower song - not a slow song - played. It was a change that Kat was glad for as it gave her a chance to catch her breath.
"I gave Grace a job in my business." Thomas said suddenly in a soft voice as he held her slightly closer due to the different pace in the song. It took Kat a minute to register what he said as she wasn't expected such a statement but it was hardly surprising that he saw discussing business in a family occasion as appropriate.
"And why did you do that?" Kat questioned, though she didn't really care. It did struck her odd that he did give her a job, however. It was nearly too random for a man like him. There had to be a motive behind it, like there was behind everything he did.
"Do you think I was right in doing so?" He asked, his voice lowering even further as if he feared that the drunken people around him may overhear their conversation. Kat found it odd that he was looking for reassurance from her of all people. "Is there anything I should know about her? Anything that you haven't told me yet?"
Kat narrowed her eyes and glared at him accusingly. "Are you accusing me of something? Because if you are just say it and don't hid behind words."
"Just looking for anything that you might've forgotten to tell me." He said carefully and truthfully Kat couldn't actually exactly remember what she had told him. She had so much information stored away in her head that it sometimes all got mixed up at times.
"What have I told you?" Kat questioned him, her right eye twitching slightly as she tried herself to remember.
"That she lied about where she worked, she's a Protestant and lives in Belfast." Thomas listed and Kat found herself feeling mildly disappointed that she had already told him about her living in Belfast. She thought she had withheld that information and she actually found it quite annoying in fact.
"Her father was killed by IRA." Kat cut in and Thomas nodded, already knowing that information. Kat sighed and she shrugged. "That's all I really know. Unless you want to know what alcohol she prefers - she's not a fan of rum."
"And that Agent of the Crown? Any ideas on that one?" Thomas questioned and Kat laughed slightly. Her only lead on that was Grace and honestly Kat didn't think Grace had it in her at all.
