My Place In The Spectrum

Once again: no ships here. But I'm about to ship my damned science teacher off to somewhere horrible. That's a different story. Demi!Sam comes out to his big brother and big brother's "friend". (Okay. Maybe there is a tiny bit of Destiel but that's not the main point so I stick to what I said with no ships.) it's an AU cuz that's all I know how to write.

***Sam's POV***

"Dean..." I whined as I watched my childish brother air guitar to Aerosmith. "I need you to be serious. I have something to tell you two."

"C'mon, Dean." Cas laughed and tried to get Dean to pay attention to what I had to say.

Dean rolled his eyes and sat on the couch next to Cas and across from me. "What is it, Sammy? this song is perfect."

"You know how you constantly give me shit about being a virgin?" I started.

"I do not!" Dean defended. Cas playfully elbowed him in the ribs, "yes, you do." And Dean glared at him.

"Well, I found a term that I think describes me. And in telling you because you're my big brother and I want you to tell me if I'm being dumb." Dean motioned me to continue. "Demisexual. It's in between asexual and allosexual. Well, kind of. I'm not sexually attracted to people unless I have a really strong emotional connection to them."

"That's lots of people." Cas smiled. "Me and De- erm, my last boyfriend didn't sleep together until we were sure we love each other."

"That was a choice," I explained. "You were still sexually attracted to your boyfriend. You just chose to wait to sleep together."

I saw understanding on both of their faces. "Well," Dean smiled. "I'm glad you found your place. It would be kinda hypocritical if I told you it wasn't real because it's in between two identities."

"And why is that?" Cas asked with a roll of his eyes and Dean cursed under his breath.

"There, I came out." I laughed. "Now it's your turn, Dean."

"What? I'm straight." he said defensively.

"Dean. You're as straight as your legs."

Cas laughed and Dean scowled. "Fine. I'm bi. And I'm fucking Cas."

"Damn it!" Dad came into the living room from the kitchen and looked visibly upset. "Couldn't you have waited until after graduation to come out?" He asked Dean.

Mom walked in after him. "That's fifty dollars, John."
