Florist!Cas and tattoo artist!Dean (I may be obsesse with Dean as a tattoo artist)

***third person***

The little bell above the door jingled and Cas looked up and smiled when he saw who it was. The tall man was wearing a Motionless In White shirt that he cut into a muscle tee, black skinny jeans, and black vans. Cas noticed a newish tattoo on his ribs, made visible by the muscle tee. It was one of many. Cas also noticed that he got new rings for his snakebites. Blue spikes.

"Hello, Dean." Cas said to his neighbor. "What can I get for ya?"

Dean leaned against the counter and flashed a bright smile at the florist. "Hey, Cas. A dozen sunflowers, please."

"Drawing reference?" Cas questioned as he made his way over to the collection of sunflowers, trying to find twelve of the prettiest ones for Dean.

Dean shrugged, "I suppose." He came in everyday to by a dozen of some sort of flower. Sometimes it was for drawing reference but, more often than not, it was just to see Cas. Dean had had a crush on Cas ever since he moved his tattoo shop next to Castiel's flower shop.

Cas handed the flowers to a smiling Dean. "Sunflowers are my favorite, y'know?" Dean admired the yellow blooms. "I guess we have that in common right?"

"Wrong." Cas chuckled. "You're never going to guess it, Winchester."

"I will someday!" Dean assured him. "So... Plan on coming in for a tattoo soon?"

Castiel shuddered. "I'm terrified of needles, Dean, I've told you this. No tattoos for Cassie."

Dean pulled out his wallet but Cas held out a hand and pushed it away. "Cas, this is the fifth time you've refused to let me pay. I feel bad."

"I'm helping out an artist. I know you probably survive off of top ramen." Cas joked. "And maybe I'm building up your tab so you'll owe me something in the future."

Dean chuckled but then Benny came in. He had recently died his hair blue and, surprisingly, could actually pull it off. "Dean. Ya gotta come back to the shop. Some guy is here and will only get a tat if you do it. You're popular, man."

"See ya, Cas." Dean winked then left the flower shop with his bouquet of sunflowers.

***one week later***

Dean was finishing up a butterfly trampstamp on some girl when he heard the bell on the door ring. "One moment!" He called. He finished the tattoo the bandaged it, "now, Lisa, take care if this or it will wrinkle and look like shit."

She said she would then winked at Dean and handed him a piece of paper. He looked at it when she left and saw her number. He rolled his eyes and tossed it into the trash. You would think people would see the rainbow tattoo on his bicep reading "pride" and assume he's gay. But nope, never crossed anyone's mind.

"Sorry about that." He muttered as he walked up to the front. "Benny went home early and now we're busy as hell." He looked up and, to his surprise, saw Castiel. "Did I forget something yesterday?"

"No," Cas took a deep breath. Obviously trying to relieve his nerves. "I'm here for a tattoo."

Dean laughed, "what is it you want?"

Cas motioned to his right shoulder blade. "I want my favorite flower. It's a-"

Dean cut him off by pulling out a design he had been working on for weeks. It was two poppies tied together with a green and blue ribbon.

"How did you know?" Cas asked, astounded.

"They're the only ones you kept behind the counter with you," Dean shrugged. "I guessed on like the first day I came in."

Cas frowned and tilted his head to the side in confusion. "All the flowers you bought... It wasn't a test?"

Dean blushed and looked down at his hands, a shy smile playing at his lips. "I kinda just liked the picture of you handing me flowers."
